Director Nguyen Tan Kiet and People's Artist Xuan Bac (Director of the Department of Performing Arts, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism)
Leading a very large outdoor activity with hundreds of artists, athletes, and technicians in continuous heavy rain while the audience still "stays" requires not only quick response but also solid professional skills. General director Nguyen Tan Kiet said: "The entire organizing team, with many years of experience in the role of commanding and implementing major cultural events, handled the situation extremely flexibly. At each performance space, the performances were arranged reasonably, ensuring continuity even though the stage was affected by the weather, both preserving the core ideological content of the program and keeping the audience from leaving the art space.
Thanks to that delicate coordination, the audience not only lingers, but also enthusiastically follows each performance, immersing themselves with the artisans, artists, and athletes in the music, drum beats, and dances imbued with the Vietnamese national spirit."
Director Nguyen Tan Kiet was present on every kilometer of the artistic activities celebrating the 50th anniversary of national reunification organized by Ho Chi Minh City.
The art space on the evening of April 26 and before that at other stages, the programs directed by the member directors were not simply performances of each act, but a vivid, colorful and emotional picture.
Cultural, artistic and sports activities are structured as a flow: from songs praising the homeland and the city named after Uncle Ho, to sweet Southern folk songs, drum dances, and soaring silk dances... On the stage of folk music, dances and singing performed by the Bong Sen Theater on the night of April 26, there are performances: "Soul of the Countryside", Song of the Southern Land, solo performance of the zither "Southern Melody", group singing "Southern Sun and Wind", "Da Co Hoai Lang" song and dance, solo performance of the zither "Sang Xuan", Ao Ba Ba, song and dance "My Western Homeland", Moon Fortune Telling, Ly Dat Giong, Ly Ngua O, Come Back to Eat Rice, Dance "Mam Vang", solo performance of the monochord "Nhip Cau Que Huong", Huong Lua Mien Nam", song and dance "Sai Gon is so beautiful"...

Nationality and modernity are naturally blended, helping the program to be both close to the public and have the strong appeal of a contemporary cultural festival. The artists of the Lotus Theater not only displayed their top-notch performing techniques, but also sent to the audience profound messages about love for the homeland, national pride and the aspirations of Ho Chi Minh City to rise in the new era, creating a wonderful picture to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country.
With passion, creativity and professional skills, the artists created a truly sublime night of art - where the "rain" did not extinguish the fire of enthusiasm but instead ignited the love of Vietnamese culture in the hearts of every citizen of Bac City.
