Chau Doc City holds 23rd dialogue with the people

On May 27 and 28, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Chau Doc City organized the 23rd Dialogue Conference between the Party, Government and People, and met with voters of People's Council delegates at 3 levels.

Accordingly, the whole city organized at 3 locations, including: Vinh Nguon Ward (voters of Vinh Nguon Ward, Chau Phu A Ward), Vinh My Ward (voters of Chau Phu B Ward and Vinh My Ward), Vinh Te Commune (voters of Vinh Te Commune, Vinh Chau Ward, Nui Sam Ward). Delegates of the Provincial People's Council, Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, People's Council, City People's Committee, Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the city; Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee in charge of the area, Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune - ward; nearly 500 voters... attended.

At the conference, voters heard a report on the results of resolving people's petitions at the 22nd dialogue conference; a summary report on the socio -economic situation in the first months of 2025, and some remaining key tasks in 2025 of An Giang province and Chau Doc city.

Voters requested that authorities at all levels urgently invest in upgrading and repairing some severely damaged roads that affect people's travel; thoroughly resolve the situation of illegal livestock slaughter; promptly issue land use right certificates to households; health insurance examination and treatment are stuck due to transmission errors; add more solutions to improve people's lives...

Chau Doc City Party Secretary Lam Quang Thi delivered a concluding speech at the dialogue in Vinh Te commune.

After the explanation of the locality, department and office for the opinions of the people, the Standing Committee of Chau Doc City Party Committee requested the relevant units and localities to enhance their sense of responsibility and coordinate to thoroughly resolve the voters' recommendations and reflections. For matters beyond their authority, Chau Doc City will take the opportunity to report and request the province to support the resolution. At the same time, discuss the benefits of arranging administrative units at the ward level, eliminating the district level... so that voters and people can clearly understand, agree and actively contribute to building the new local government after the merger; mobilize people to strictly implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.
