Ha Tinh City and surrounding areas may face water shortage on May 22.

Boc Nguyen Lake is supplying water to Ha Tinh city and surrounding areas.

According to a representative of the Ha Tinh City Water Supply Branch, Boc Nguyen Water Plant will lack electricity for production due to the Thach Ha Power Branch stopping the power supply for line maintenance from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on May 22, 2025.

Due to lack of electricity to operate the factory, Ha Tinh city and surrounding areas will lack water during the above mentioned period.

Ha Tinh City Water Supply Branch recommends that people in the city and surrounding areas have plans to store and use water economically to overcome this situation.

Boc Nguyen Water Plant will stop supplying electricity because Thach Ha Power Branch stops supplying electricity.

Boc Nguyen Water Plant is the water plant with the largest actual capacity in the province at present. In addition to providing domestic water for the people of Ha Tinh City and its vicinity, this unit also serves industrial factories with large capacity, requiring high quality water in the area.

Raw water after being pumped from the level 1 pumping station at Boc Nguyen Lake is brought into the settling tank at the factory and chemically treated for the first time to create water clarity. The water continues to be transferred to the filter tank, treated for the second time to disinfect bacteria and finished in the final treatment to create quality stability. After that, the water is pumped back to the storage tank and transferred through the pumping station to the user.
