The event was attended by nearly 200 delegates from state management agencies, research institutes, nature conservation organizations, beverage and service businesses.
In his opening speech, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Viet - Chairman of VBA emphasized that the beverage industry plays an important role in the country's economic development. Every year, the industry contributes over 60,000 billion VND to the national budget and creates millions of jobs across the entire value chain - from agriculture, manufacturing, logistics to retail.
According to Mr. Viet, for the Vietnamese beverage industry to develop further, businesses must increase investment to develop according to new consumption trends, greening requirements, and circular economy.
Besides, the Vietnamese beverage industry needs to adapt flexibly, promote green transformation, innovate technology, and continue to promote its important role in contributing to economic growth and the State budget.
Discussing solutions to help businesses optimize processes, ensure product quality and minimize environmental impacts, Mr. Tran Minh Triet - Chief Representative of Suntar Singapore Environmental Technology Company, introduced advanced membrane technology solutions - a new and potential direction for Vietnamese beverage businesses, helping businesses improve product quality, optimize costs and develop sustainably through increasing productivity, saving costs and reducing emissions.

Mr. Pham Hoang Quan - Chief Representative of Swan Analytical Instruments in Vietnam shared about the application of ozone concentration monitoring technology (O₃) - an important factor to help optimize the sterilization process in the bottled water production line, both improving operational efficiency and ensuring food safety standards and environmental protection.
Expert Bui Tran Trung Hau - representative of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in Vietnam said that electrochemical solutions will help reduce emissions for the beverage industry in Vietnam, moving towards green factories.
On the part of the state management agency, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Tho - Deputy Director of the Institute of Agricultural and Environmental Policy Strategy ( Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ) emphasized that the green transformation process and circular economic development are becoming the key orientation of the Vietnamese beverage industry in the coming period.
"To achieve the goal, businesses need to continue investing in energy-saving technology, expand the use of renewable energy, manage emissions along the supply chain and develop environmentally friendly packaging," Mr. Tho suggested directions for businesses.
At the workshop, delegates also shared and updated information on the development of the world and Vietnam beverage markets; analyzed policies affecting the beverage industry such as increasing special consumption tax, environmental protection, improving food safety management, tracing the origin of goods... From there, delegates agreed that investing in new technology, developing environmentally friendly packaging and promoting supply chain cooperation, applying AI technology, digital transformation is the future direction and decisive factor for the Vietnamese beverage industry to move closer to a circular and sustainable economic model.
