On January 12, the People's Committee of Nha Trang City ( Khanh Hoa ) held a press conference to announce the Anniversary and activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the construction and development of Nha Trang City (1924 - 2024), and the 15th anniversary of Nha Trang being recognized as a class I city under Khanh Hoa province (April 22, 2009 - April 22, 2024).
Chairman of Nha Trang City People's Committee Nguyen Sy Khanh said that throughout the celebration program, there will be 15 main events. Among them, the 100th anniversary of the construction and development of Nha Trang City, 15 years of Nha Trang being recognized as a class I city under Khanh Hoa province (expected to be broadcast live on KTV, VTV1).
Mr. Nguyen Sy Khanh, Chairman of Nha Trang City People's Committee, said that throughout the celebration program, there will be 15 main events.
In addition, Nha Trang City also organized 3 workshops including: Workshop "Green transformation, green growth in Khanh Hoa province - Nha Trang model" (in collaboration with VinUni University of Vingroup ); Workshop "100 years of historical journey: Identifying and promoting cultural values and people of Nha Trang in building and developing the city" (in collaboration with the Editorial Board of Communist Magazine); Workshop "Nha Trang - Prosperous and happy coastal city" (in collaboration with the Institute of Economics - Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics ; Union of Science and Technology Associations of Khanh Hoa province).
"The above workshop was organized on a large scale, gathering a large number of scientists, experts, and researchers from home and abroad. This is the highlight in a series of activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the construction and development of Nha Trang City, and the 15th anniversary of Nha Trang being recognized as a first-class urban area under the province," said Mr. Nguyen Sy Khanh.
In addition to the above programs, Nha Trang City will organize a flag-raising ceremony at April 2 Square (on the morning of April 2) and launch a campaign to support the Khanh Hoa Fisheries Development Support Fund; Visit and present gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, revolutionary veterans, Armed Forces Heroes, and outstanding policy families; Meet with representatives of traditional organizations operating in Nha Trang City.
Along with that are exhibitions of achievements in socio-economic development of Nha Trang city; Groundbreaking ceremony of key projects of the city to celebrate the anniversary; Art performance program to celebrate the 100th anniversary of construction and development of Nha Trang city...

Mr. Ho Van Mung, Secretary of Nha Trang City Party Committee, said that in order for the Anniversary Ceremony and activities to celebrate 100 years of construction and development of Nha Trang City, 15 years of Nha Trang being recognized as a class I city under Khanh Hoa province to take place successfully, the city hopes that the central and local media and press agencies, journalists, reporters, and editors will actively coordinate and support in the information and propaganda work on the anniversary activities, thereby contributing to promoting and introducing the image, potential, and strengths of the land and people of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa to domestic and international friends.
