The first modern waste-to-energy plant in Bac Ninh
Thang Long - Bac Ninh Waste-to-Energy Plant Project is invested by Thang Long Energy Environment Joint Stock Company with a total cost of about 1,400 billion VND, an area of nearly 5 hectares, a capacity to process 500 tons of waste/day and generate 11 MW of electricity. The plant uses modern technology imported from Finland, including a waste pre-treatment line and a circulating fluidized bed incinerator combined with a Siemens steam turbine to ensure efficient and stable operation.
The factory officially operated from May 5, 2025, currently receiving and processing about 350 tons of domestic waste per day from Bac Ninh city and Que Vo town.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan affirmed that Bac Ninh is the first and only locality in the country to collect and treat all household waste using modern incineration technology. He praised the efforts of waste treatment plants in the area, including Thang Long Waste-to-Energy Plant, for actively contributing to the province's green development strategy.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the investor to urgently research solutions to thoroughly treat waste odors and complete the system of connecting wastewater, exhaust gas, and ash treatment data with the Monitoring Center of the Department of Agriculture and Environment. At the same time, assign departments and branches to coordinate in developing a plan to regulate inter-provincial waste after the merger of Bac Ninh - Bac Giang, ensuring the effective operation of the plant. He also agreed on the policy of increasing the waste treatment capacity to 600 tons/day and night when meeting the stable operating conditions of 500 tons/day.
Promoting the progress of Nam Son Industrial Park's traffic infrastructure
On the same day, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the construction progress of the roads connecting Nam Son Ward Industrial Park (Bac Ninh City), including 3 routes T1, T2, T3 with a total length of more than 757m, cross-section of 20.5m, total investment capital of more than 37.1 billion VND. The project started in February 2025, and has now completed more than 60% of the construction volume.

At the scene, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the efforts of the Bac Ninh City People's Committee, the investor and contractors in speeding up the progress. He requested the synchronous completion of all three routes, including asphalt pavement and lighting systems, before June 30, 2025; at the same time, thoroughly handling the situation of encroachment on sidewalks in the industrial park, ensuring security, order and traffic safety.
For the expert accommodation area, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned relevant agencies to study an effective management model that meets practical needs. Kinh Bac Urban Development Corporation was assigned to complete the roads connecting to T1 and T2 and ensure green, clean and beautiful landscape infrastructure in the industrial park.
