In the next two to three days, the continental cold high pressure in the South will gradually weaken, and around the afternoon of November 24, it will strengthen again in the Northern provinces. The disturbance of the East wind in the upper atmosphere will last until the end of November 23.
Accordingly, the weather in the South in the next two to three days will be cloudy to cloudy, with intermittent weak sunshine. In the afternoon to evening, the Southeast will have scattered showers in some places, the Southwest will continue to have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places having moderate rain, some places having heavy rain, and at night there will be showers and thunderstorms in some places.
The Southern region is located at the southern edge of the continental cold high pressure combined with the northern edge of the equatorial low pressure trough, converging weak easterly winds that also affect the Southern region.
According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, in Ho Chi Minh City, the tides have been at high levels in recent days. The peak of this tide is likely to occur on November 22 (October 3 of the lunar calendar).
Specifically, at Phu An and Nha Be stations, the water level could rise to 1.68-1.73 m (about 0.08-0.13 m above alert level 3). Thu Dau Mot station could rise to 1.78-1.83 m (0.18-0.23 m above alert level 3).
