The most prestigious competition in the Asia- Pacific region
The Asia- Pacific Tea Competition is initiated by the Tea Industry Committee of the China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation, in collaboration with tea associations from more than 20 countries and regions.

After 10 years of development, the competition has become a professional tea evaluation activity with wide influence and leading prestige in the region.
In 2025, the 10th edition was held on an expanded scale, attracting more than 20 leading experts in the fields of tea studies, agriculture and cuisine from Asia, Europe, Africa and Oceania. The competition received more than 5,000 tea samples from China and other countries, including 800 international tea samples, representing many cultures and distinctive tea production styles around the world.
This year’s special feature is a comprehensive renovation and upgrade of the competition, divided into three groups according to different types of tea: green tea, black tea and oolong tea – held in cities representing the three major tea cultures in the region. This approach allows the judges to have a deeper assessment of the quality, flavor, appearance and cultural value of each type of tea.
The list of organizers and partners includes prestigious organizations in the industry: Slow Tea Alliance, European Specialty Tea Association, ASEAN Tea Organization, Sri Lanka Tea Council, Kenya Tea Research Institute, Italian Tea & Blending Association, Danish Tea Association, Australian Tea Masters Association, Nepal Specialty Tea Association, Singapore Tea Import-Export Association, Indonesian Tea Association, Vietnam Tea Association and many other agricultural research and training partners.
My Lam Green Tea - the quintessence of Vietnamese Tea, affirming brand position
Over 60 years of preserving the quintessence of Vietnamese Tea, produced in the My Lam raw material area, Tuyen Quang province - a place with a cool climate, mineral-rich soil and a long tradition of tea cultivation, My Lam Green Tea has long been known as a tea line with a pure flavor, mild astringency and deep sweet aftertaste.
The tea is made from young tea buds with 1 bud and 2 leaves, harvested early in the morning, through strict processing and quality control procedures by artisans, to preserve the natural flavor and clear blue water color. The entire production process is applied according to the integrated pest management (IPM) process, complying with the Rainforest Alliance sustainable agriculture development standards, and organic orientation, ensuring food safety and environmental friendliness.
Mr. Luu Vu Truong Dam - Chairman of the Board of Directors of My Lam Tea Joint Stock Company shared: " We always believe that an agricultural product is only truly valuable when it carries the spirit of the land, the people and the indigenous culture. This award is not only an honor for the My Lam tea brand, but also a common pride of the Vietnamese tea industry in the international arena."

Among hundreds of tea samples from more than 20 countries, My Lam Green Tea convinced the international jury thanks to its consistent quality of tea leaves, pure aroma, balanced tea flavor and natural sweet aftertaste. The product was highly appreciated for its ability to preserve regional identity while still meeting international standards for processing techniques and food safety.
The Gold Award at the Asia-Pacific Tea Competition is a testament to the efforts to elevate the brand of Vietnamese agricultural products, and at the same time opens up new opportunities for My Lam Tea to expand its export market, especially in countries with a long-standing tea culture such as: Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan or Europe.
Experts commented: “The success of Tra My Lam at this year’s international competition shows that the Vietnamese tea industry is making positive changes. When businesses pay more attention to quality, traceability and the cultural story behind the product, Vietnamese tea can completely compete in the international market.”
Aiming for sustainable development and spreading Vietnamese pride
Not only stopping at production and trade, My Lam Tea also aims to develop according to a sustainable agricultural model, building a closed value chain from raw material areas to processing and distribution, combining tea culture tourism to spread the spiritual values of Tuyen Quang tea makers.

The company also focuses on supporting farmers, transferring techniques, applying modern processing technology, while preserving traditional manual tea roasting methods - factors that create the unique soul of Vietnamese tea.
This international award is a strong motivation for My Lam Tea to continue to affirm its brand position, expand its market and promote the image of Vietnamese tea to the world. At the same time, this is also a clear demonstration of the development of the Vietnamese tea industry towards quality, identity and sustainability.
In the journey of international integration, each agricultural product honored in the international arena carries the story of the Vietnamese people – hardworking, creative and dedicated to plants and land. The award of My Lam Green Tea at the Asia-Pacific Tea Competition is not only the success of a brand, but also the pride of Vietnam, contributing to affirming the position and flavor of Vietnamese tea – the flavor of sophistication and sustainability.
