Mr. Ngo Van Tri (Binh Hoa Dong commune, Moc Hoa district, 5th person, right) was excited on the day of house handover.

Give trust, give opportunity
The house was temporarily built on public land that has been degraded for many years, so Mr. Ngo Van Tri (Binh Hoa Dong commune, Moc Hoa district) always dreamed of owning his own house. However, being a single father, having an unstable job, and having to pay daily living expenses, the dream of a new house is too far away.
Implementing the movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province in 2025", Mr. Tri was supported with 80 million VND to build a Great Solidarity house. Mr. Tri excitedly said: "With the State's financial support, parents giving land, neighbors helping with labor to build the house, I am very happy, it's like a dream! With a new house, my father and I are at ease, now we will try to work hard to escape poverty."
Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Chi (Thanh Phu Long commune, Chau Thanh district) received support of 2 breeding cows from the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction.
Although her family's economy is not good, the life of Nguyen Ngoc Chi (Thanh Phu Long commune, Chau Thanh district) is always full of laughter. However, 2 years ago, while on a business trip, her husband unfortunately died in a traffic accident. She was left alone to take care of her family, 2 young children and her mother who had a mild stroke. The family's economy gradually collapsed, all the valuable assets in the house were gone one by one because she did not have a stable job, mainly doing whatever people hired her to do.
Sympathizing with this situation, the commune put her family on the list of near-poor households to enjoy preferential policies of the Party and State, including capital support policies from Project No. 2 on Diversifying Livelihoods and Developing Poverty Reduction Models under the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction.
Ms. Chi confided: “I was supported with a pair of breeding cows. Raising cows does not require much care, so I have time to work extra to earn income. Thanks to the local government's care, I have the confidence and motivation to overcome difficulties and stabilize my life.”
The National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction has brought about many practical results, contributing to improving the quality of people's lives, towards a civilized and modern society. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Minh Lam suggested: "All levels and sectors need to focus on researching and developing policies and tasks that are suitable to reality.
In particular, prioritize 3 policy groups: Support production development, labor - employment, increase income for poor households; support the poor to increase access to basic social services, prioritize services associated with multidimensional criteria such as health, education and training, housing, clean water and environmental sanitation, information and communication to ensure efficiency associated with Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo; develop infrastructure in disadvantaged areas, prioritize the development of essential infrastructure such as transportation, schools, medical stations, small irrigation and domestic water"./.
