On September 10th, Bao Phuong Vinh and Tran Quyet Chien made history for Vietnamese billiards by creating the first-ever all-Vietnamese final at the world's most prestigious 3-cushion carom billiards tournament. Bao Phuong Vinh emerged victorious. Upon returning from Turkey, both players will participate in the HBSF Cup Tour 3 2023 and are expected to reach another final within just one week.

Both Bao Phuong Vinh and Tran Quyet Chien are demonstrating their best form. In the round of 128, the world champion defeated Truong Nhat Phuong with an impressive score of 30-3 after only 7 innings, achieving a scoring efficiency of 4.286 points per inning, making him a strong contender for the "Best Game" award. This is a performance that even top world players rarely achieve in a tournament.
Meanwhile, billiards player Tran Quyet Chien also had a performance of 4 points per turn in his match against Thon Viet Hoang Minh. However, to meet each other in the final, both Bao Phuong Vinh and Tran Quyet Chien must overcome the quarter-final round, which is considered quite challenging.

In the quarterfinals, Tran Quyet Chien will face the reigning SEA Games 32 champion Nguyen Tran Thanh Tu (world No. 62), who defeated Tony Tran (Tran Quyet Chien's nickname) in the final of the 2023 HBSF Cup Tour 2. Bao Phuong Vinh's opponent will be Tran Thanh Luc (world No. 35), who performed impressively at the Porto World Cup last July. The other two quarterfinal matches will see Nguyen Bui Dang Vinh against Le Van Thai and Dinh Quang Hai against Van Hoang Ba.
The quarter-final matches of the HBSF Cup Tour 3 2023 will take place at 9:00 AM today, September 17th. The two semi-final matches will be contested at 12:00 PM, followed by the final at 3:00 PM. The champion will receive 50 million VND in prize money, and the runner-up will receive 20 million VND.
