Nguyen Huu Duyen Scholarship Award Ceremony for the 2023-2024 Academic Year in Ha Nam

The ceremony was attended by Professor, Doctor Nguyen Thi Doan, former member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vice President of Vietnam, and President of the Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Learning .

The 2023-2024 Nguyen Huu Duyen Scholarship Award Ceremony included additional scholarships for teachers who won awards in the "Excellent Teacher" competition. The Nguyen Huu Duyen Scholarship Fund Management Board also disseminated information to schools in the commune, Bac Ly High School, village units, and broadcast announcements on the commune's public address system to coordinate and receive applications for awarding scholarships to students, teachers, and university students with outstanding academic and teaching achievements.

Professor Nguyen Thi Doan, former Vice President of Vietnam and President of the Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Learning, along with local leaders and sponsors, attended the program.

At the meeting on September 17th, attended by representatives of the local Party committee and government, and under the supervision of the Fund's Supervisory Board, the Fund's Management Council conducted a public review and unanimously agreed to honor and award scholarships to 143 students.

This includes 56 primary school students, 62 lower secondary school students, and 25 upper secondary school students. Broken down, 2 students won national-level awards, 74 won provincial-level awards, 44 won district-level awards, and 23 students are from poor, near-poor, or disadvantaged families, or have disabilities.

The Nguyen Huu Duyen Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to outstanding teachers.

In particular, the Scholarship Fund honored and awarded scholarships to 42 teachers. This included 13 primary school teachers, 23 lower secondary school teachers, and 6 upper secondary school teachers.

The Nguyen Huu Duyen Scholarship Fund was recognized by the People's Committee of Ha Nam province according to Decision No. 1596/QD-UBND dated August 24, 2022 and Decision No. 1863/QD-UBND dated October 5, 2022 of the People's Committee of Ha Nam province.

On December 4, 2022, the founders, family members of fallen soldiers, and veteran revolutionary Nguyen Huu Duyen held a launch ceremony to put the fund into operation. The fund's purpose is to mobilize resources to provide regular scholarships to underprivileged students, high-achieving students, and outstanding teachers.

The Nguyen Huu Duyen Scholarship Fund is the brainchild and aspiration of Professor, Doctor Nguyen Thi Doan, former Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vice President of Vietnam, and President of the Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Learning, who mobilizes social resources from businesses and individuals to annually replenish the Fund.

The Nguyen Huu Duyen Scholarship Fund awarded scholarships to 143 students.

The funds used to award scholarships are the result of the hard work, effort, dedication, and affection of businesses and individuals who honor learning in their hometown of Chan Ly commune, and Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Doan has been instrumental in the success of the Fund. The Fund also represents the heartfelt wishes of the family of the veteran revolutionary martyr Nguyen Huu Duyen and the local community of Chan Ly commune.

The fund was established and began operating with the desire to promote and develop education and training in Chan Ly commune, contributing to building a learning society. It aims to encourage the children of Chan Ly in particular, and the community in general, to focus on learning. Learning to become a good person, learning to become successful, learning to provide for their lives, learning to grow, and learning to become useful citizens for their homeland and country.
