Rejuvenating the Party's recruitment source

Youth movements, especially the “Summer Volunteer Youth” and “Green Summer” campaigns, are not only places for youth to devote their youth, but also a vivid practical environment to hone their mettle and awaken revolutionary ideals. From these meaningful activities, many outstanding members have been honored to join the Party, contributing to the rejuvenation and improvement of the quality of Party members.

GROWING UP THROUGH DEDICATION

To be considered for Party membership, a Party member must be evaluated annually as an outstanding member in terms of moral character, exemplary in adhering to the Party's guidelines and policies and the laws of the State. In particular, they must demonstrate a proactive spirit, actively participate in movements organized by the Youth Union, and achieve excellent results in their studies and work.

Comrade Tran Tri Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, presented the Decision on admitting new Party members to volunteer youth in 2025.

Over the years, the "Summer Volunteer Campaign" and "Green Summer" have become ideal environments for Youth Union members to train, mature, and demonstrate their role and responsibility towards the nation. From these campaigns, many outstanding Youth Union members have been nurtured and developed in their thinking, awareness, and actions, and have gradually joined the ranks of the Party.

Typically, at the end of July 2025, 19 outstanding volunteer youth union members were honored to be admitted to the Party right where they were participating in the "Green Summer" campaign in Doc Binh Kieu and Tan Thanh communes, Dong Thap province. These are exemplary individuals who have matured from the volunteer movement, demonstrating the effectiveness of identifying and nurturing potential Party members.

Nguyen Lam Thanh Truc (a student from the Public Relations and Communication Department - Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance), currently participating in the "Green Summer" campaign in Doc Binh Kieu commune, has the honor of joining the ranks of the Party.

To be admitted to the Party, Thanh Truc constantly strived in her studies, training, and participated in many volunteer activities; thereby creating conditions for herself to train, cultivate, and build revolutionary ideals.

"As a young person full of enthusiasm and a desire to contribute, during the process of learning about and developing into a Party member, I have always been aware that: Joining the Party is to fulfill the role, responsibilities, and obligations of a Party member, to train and grow, and especially to contribute my youthful energy to making my homeland more prosperous and beautiful," shared Thanh Truc.

Comrade Le Hoang Quyet, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Dong Thap province, said that youth volunteer movements have been widespread, bringing great effectiveness and having a strong ripple effect in the community. Young people participate enthusiastically, with a pioneering and creative spirit, ready to sacrifice personal interests for the community, and have contributed to the growth of tens of thousands of Youth Union members and young people in major campaigns such as: "Green Summer," "Supporting the Exam Season," "Red Phoenix Flower," "Pink Holiday," and "Green March."

“This is a case of ‘fire tests gold, hardship tests strength,’ where revolutionary ideals are tested and political fortitude is tempered in the face of all challenges, serving as a measure of the pioneering and exemplary qualities of future communists. In this practical experience, the capabilities and qualities of outstanding Party members are clearly revealed, creating a solid foundation for Party committees to recognize, evaluate, and consider recommending these comrades to join the ranks of the Party,” said Comrade Le Hoang Quyet.

THE PRIDE OF YOUTH

Through their dedication, learning, training, and enthusiasm in the Youth Union and Association movements, outstanding members continuously strive to cultivate their political qualities, possess the courage and ability to be worthy of joining the ranks of the Party.

Comrade Nguyen Quang Minh, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province, and Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Youth Union, presented a Letter of Commendation to outstanding Youth Union members who were admitted as Party members.

Admitted into the Party during summer volunteer activities, these outstanding Party members carry with them pride and a desire to train themselves for noble ideals. The "Summer Volunteer Campaign" and "Green Summer" provide a favorable environment for young people to train, mature, and demonstrate their sense of responsibility towards their homeland and country.

Comrade Le Hoang Quyet, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Dong Thap province, affirmed: “These movements have impacted many young people, contributing to stabilizing their thoughts, increasing the confidence of Youth Union members and young people in the leadership of the Party and the country's renewal and development, fostering ideals and motivation for Youth Union members and young people to strive to join the Party, helping Youth Union members and young people to have sufficient qualities, ethics, awareness, and profound understanding of the Party; understanding, believing, and being ready to follow the revolutionary path of the Communist Party of Vietnam and having the will to strive for excellence in labor, work, and study.”

Ms. Dinh Mac Thao Ngan (a student from the Faculty of Information Technology - Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology) participated in the "Green Summer" campaign in Tan Thanh commune and was admitted to the Party. She is one of the young people who matured through Youth Union activities, especially during the "Green Summer" campaign in 2025. Ms. Thao Ngan, along with a team of 60 "Green Summer" volunteers, carried out many practical projects and tasks in Tan Thanh commune.

These activities included constructing a 400-meter rural road in Bac hamlet; installing 35 solar-powered streetlights in Trung hamlet; organizing a charitable meal and visiting veteran families; deploying the "Popular Education Team"; organizing a Green Sunday event; and awarding scholarships to underprivileged students.

“Being admitted to the Party during the ‘Green Summer’ Campaign is a great honor for me. This moment not only marks a turning point in my training journey, but also gives me an opportunity to reflect on my efforts and the many valuable experiences I’ve gained,” Thao Ngan confided.

The "Summer Volunteer Campaign" and "Green Summer" in 2025 in Dong Thap province left unforgettable experiences for the volunteers. Amidst the scorching summer heat, the volunteers directly participated in many meaningful projects and practical social welfare activities, contributing to improving the lives of local people. Each project and task was carried out with heartfelt dedication, responsibility, and the pride of young people living with ideals for the community.

The consideration of young volunteers for Party membership not only contributes to spreading the image of exemplary, dedicated, and committed young Party members, but also provides a long-term direction in Party development from the ranks of young Party members who have made significant contributions to practical activities and rejuvenates the pool of Party members with professional qualifications. "As a young Party member, I am well aware that honor comes with responsibility."

"I promise to strive in my studies, constantly improve myself, cultivate my moral character, uphold my political integrity, and always take President Ho Chi Minh's teachings as a guiding principle for my actions, so as to be worthy of the Party's trust," Thao Ngan shared.

As of August 1st, the "Summer Volunteer Campaign" and "Green Summer" 2025 in Dong Thap province have admitted 95 new Party members. This is an impressive number, demonstrating that volunteer movements have truly become an "extended arm" of the Party, contributing to the nurturing and recruitment of outstanding young people who are qualified, knowledgeable, and full of enthusiasm.
Comrade Le Hoang Quyet stated: "Action movements, especially the youth volunteer movement, have created a vibrant practical environment that helps each Party member and young person cultivate moral qualities, a sense of responsibility, and social awareness; to be challenged and trained in character and life skills; to contribute, develop abilities, and mature, thereby proving their conformity with the ideals of the Communist Party of Vietnam."

Developing the Party from the volunteer youth force not only contributes to spreading the image of exemplary, dedicated, and contributing young Party members, but also serves as a long-term orientation to rejuvenate the Party's recruitment pool, ensuring the Party's continuity and development in the future.
