What should parents do when their children are lazy learners?

Only 7% of students are capable of "deep" self-learning.

Out of 600 survey responses, only 7.34% of children demonstrated a high level of self-learning ability, over 17% had an average level, and the majority of the remaining students were "reluctant" to learn independently. This is truly alarming as it affects their ability to acquire knowledge and directly impacts their academic results.

This study also indicates that students lack other skills to develop self-learning abilities, particularly the skill of creating a conducive learning environment.

So, how does the internet affect children's ability to learn independently? Surveys show that 64.3% of students use the internet in their studies, and 67.8% of them prefer social media to news websites.

The students also pointed out that online learning provides quick solutions, but the limitation is that accuracy is not guaranteed and there is no support for answering questions. However, this creates a situation where students are gradually becoming "lazy" in thinking and dependent on the internet.

Why is self-learning a necessary habit?

Self-learning skills are extremely important in every person's development journey. This ability needs to be cultivated and nurtured from a young age and maintained and cared for throughout adulthood as one explores knowledge and acquires competence.

For students, in addition to studying at school, it is also necessary to proactively seek out new knowledge and information. This skill not only helps them improve their academic performance at school but also enhances their knowledge in other areas.
