Ms. Pham Bao Hanh emphasized that in the context of the Project to make English the second language in schools, a task that preschool education cannot ignore is to give children the best foundation in Vietnamese - their mother tongue. Because preschool age is the age when children are learning to speak and developing their language thinking.
Therefore, the task of preschool teachers is to implement well the current preschool education program of the Ministry of Education and Training, which includes 5 areas of preschool children's development: physical, cognitive, language, emotional and aesthetic.
Thus, in the contents of the current Preschool Education program, children must develop their mother tongue - Vietnamese, must be able to speak their mother tongue clearly, and the foundation of Vietnamese must be built solidly. This is taught and practiced by teachers through conversation and communication; through nursery rhymes, poems for preschoolers, stories, children's songs...
