Implementing national forestry planning

The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a plan to implement the national forestry planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050 in the province.

Accordingly, the purpose of the plan is to effectively implement Decision 895/QD-TTg dated August 24, 2024 of the Prime Minister approving the national forestry planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. At the same time, identify key contents, progress, implementation resources, programs, projects, and plans to have policies and solutions to mobilize and attract investment capital from units, organizations, and individuals in implementing the national forestry planning in the province.

The plan identifies a number of key tasks to be implemented, such as: focusing on reviewing and adjusting boundaries, demarcating the boundaries of three types of forests, converting forest types; adjusting and establishing special-use, protection and production forests in accordance with the national forestry planning, provincial planning, and district-level land use planning for the period 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050. Organizing investigations to determine the current status of forests in Phu Yen province, moving towards implementing forest inventories, continuing to monitor forest developments, and announcing the current status of forests according to regulations.

Focus on developing forest plantation areas and forest certification to provide raw materials for processing. Apply scientific research in selecting and nurturing forestry seedlings to ensure quality and high productivity for afforestation and forest development in the locality. Build infrastructure works and forestry roads to serve forest management, protection, and forest fire prevention and fighting; conduct statistics and update information to the national forestry information system and database and the digital transformation program in accordance with regulations...
