The program was attended by representatives of the UNESCO Center for Collecting and Researching Vietnamese Antiquities, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Quang Nam Museum and dozens of antique collectors from all over the country.

Many ceramic artifacts from Vietnamese cultures from Dong Son - Chu Dau - Sa Huynh, Champa, Oc Eo... are on display. Thousands of years old porcelain vases; plates, jars, teacups, spittoons, earthenware bowls, lime pots... bring to the viewer not only the sophistication of handcrafted patterns but also tell an interesting historical story.

Dr. Ha Thi Suong, an archaeologist at Quang Nam Museum, said that the exhibition of artifacts from different cultures, converging together, is an interesting and meaningful story.

“The passion for collecting and researching antiques of collectors of the UNESCO Club of Quang Nam in particular and Vietnam in general has contributed to preserving and conserving Vietnamese antiques. Exhibitions, whether organized by individuals or organizations, all bring high aesthetic and historical values…” - Dr. Ha Thi Suong said.

In 2019, Mr. Pham Van Phat and 15 people with the same interest in antiques established the UNESCO Club for Collecting and Researching Quang Nam Antiques, of which he is the chairman. At the recently held new member admission ceremony, out of 9 members, 4 members came from Hai Phong and 2 members from Hanoi volunteered to participate in activities at the UNESCO Club for Collecting and Researching Quang Nam Antiques.

At this exhibition to exchange and admit new members, the UNESCO Club for collecting and researching antiquities in Quang Nam called on antiquities collectors inside and outside the province to volunteer to donate antiquities to the Quang Nam Museum, and also organized a symbolic handover of some artifacts to representatives of the provincial museum. This is a very meaningful activity to contribute to the collection and preservation of antiquities belonging to Vietnamese cultures throughout the flow of history.
