The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism plans to organize a Documentary Exhibition to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

The exhibition is a practical activity, aiming to affirm the great significance and important role of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 in the historical process of the nation; to propagate and educate all classes of people about the tradition of patriotism, the will of self-reliance, the desire for peace ; the achievements of the cause of building, protecting and developing the country over the past 80 years and the aspiration for prosperity under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh.
The activity also aims to encourage the entire Party, people and army to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of Delegates, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
The exhibition, themed “Autumn of Independence and Aspiration for Prosperity”, will take place from August 12 to September 18 at the National Library of Vietnam (31 Trang Thi, Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi ).
800 documents and 80 photos at the exhibition bring to the public and readers authentic, vivid and rich perspectives on events, characters, as well as memorable moments in the country's important historical moments.
The documents and images are displayed in 4 parts: "August Revolution 1945 - The first great victory of the Vietnamese people in the 20th century", "National Day September 2, 1945 - A heroic milestone of the Vietnamese people in the Ho Chi Minh era", "Historical value and contemporary significance of the August Revolution and National Day September 2", "Vietnam - 80 years of steady progress".
