Exhibition of National Achievements: Vietnamese people's aspirations to reach far in the new era

All exhibition spaces vividly recreate and honor the heroic revolutionary history and outstanding achievements of the country under the talented and wise leadership of the Party.

After 19 exciting and emotional days with many activities and events imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity, attracting over 10 million people from all over the country, overseas Vietnamese and international guests, the exhibition "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" was a great success.

On the evening of September 15, the closing ceremony of the exhibition took place at the National Exhibition Center, Dong Anh, Hanoi - one of the 10 largest exhibition centers in the world .

Condensing the great achievements of the People

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that all exhibition spaces vividly recreated and honored the heroic revolutionary history and outstanding achievements of the country under the Party's wise and talented leadership since its founding, especially in the 80 years since gaining national independence, unifying the country, building and defending the Fatherland.

The Prime Minister assessed that the exhibition affirmed the strength of national solidarity through rich and vivid content and attractive and engaging presentation imbued with the unique culture of the 54 ethnic groups from all over the country.

All exhibition contents show the great achievements of the People through revolutionary periods under the leadership of the Party. All activities in the exhibition are for the People, serving the People.

The Prime Minister said that the exhibition “80 years of the Journey of Independence-Freedom-Happiness” affirms the meaning and importance of combining national strength with the strength of the times, domestic strength with international strength, close coordination between the Central and local levels, between the State and the private sector. This is also the spirit that runs through all activities and exhibition spaces, from “Development creation,” “Creativity for construction,” “Aspiration for the sky” to “For a green future,” “Economic locomotive,” “Start-up to build the nation.”

The exhibition contents strongly spread the message about the country and Vietnamese people, intelligent, creative, ambitious, resilient but sincere, open, hospitable; with a harmonious and skillful combination of internal and external forces, between agencies and localities in the political system. That is also the source of the "miracles" of intelligence and bravery of the Vietnamese people over the past 80 years and demonstrates the aspiration of the Vietnamese people to fly high and reach far in the new era.

The success of the Exhibition “80 Years of Independence-Freedom-Happiness Journey” is a good start for upcoming important events and national, regional and international music festivals in the future.

The Prime Minister has directed the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and relevant units to organize the 2025 Autumn Fair, scheduled to take place in October.

Attracting more than 10 million visitors

The National Achievement Exhibition "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" is the largest ever, with the participation of 28 ministries, central agencies, 34 localities and more than 110 large enterprises and economic groups with more than 230 booths across the entire area of ​​the National Exhibition Center.

The exhibition introduces the achievements of nearly 180 industries in various fields (industry, agriculture, trade, investment, culture, science and technology, education, health, environment, traditional craft villages, OCOP products, unique products, national defense, security, foreign affairs...) with many documents, materials, artifacts, machinery and equipment, documentaries, reports; vividly and quite comprehensively reflecting the outstanding achievements during the "80-year journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" of our nation, under the leadership of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam.

The exhibition also demonstrates the cultural traditions, the spirit of hard work, and effective production and business of the people and enterprises in all regions of the country; depicts the image of the country and people of Vietnam with thousands of years of heroic history of the nation; introduces the culture imbued with national identity and unity in diversity of 54 ethnic groups; introduces the richness of products in all three regions of the North, Central and South; the development and progress of all ministries, departments, branches, 34 provinces and cities over the past 80 years.

From the opening day (August 28) to the last day of opening (September 15), the exhibition attracted over 10 million visitors, becoming one of the exhibitions with the largest number of visitors ever.

The exhibition was honored to welcome many high-ranking delegations, including leaders of the Party, State, Government of Vietnam and international delegations from Laos, Cambodia...; military delegations from Russia, Laos, Cambodia, Cuba; delegations of embassies of various countries...

In particular, the exhibition also attracted millions of people from many provinces and cities across the country; officers, soldiers, students; veterans, meritorious people, the elderly... to visit.

The attraction of the exhibition was confirmed when the Government signed a telegram extending the exhibition period by 10 days, to meet the needs and wishes and create conditions for people to have more time to visit and experience the activities and events at the exhibition.

The Organizing Committee of the National Achievement Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day awarded 50 "Outstanding Exhibition Space" awards to honor units with outstanding contributions in designing, staging and organizing exhibitions, introducing the country's achievements over 80 years of construction and development.

This is both a recognition of achievements and a source of encouragement for units to continue promoting creativity, investing in improving design quality, content and display methods.

The award contributes to creating healthy competition motivation, forming standards of aesthetics, professionalism and communication effectiveness at the following exhibitions.

Accordingly, there are 15 awards for central departments, ministries, branches and agencies including: Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Office of the National Assembly, Office of the Government, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, State Bank of Vietnam, Government Inspectorate, Nhan Dan Newspaper and Vietnam Television.

In the group of provinces and centrally-run cities, 15 "Outstanding Exhibition Space" awards were given to Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Dien Bien, Thanh Hoa, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Quang Tri, Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh and Vinh Long.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 20 prizes to outstanding State-owned and private enterprises, including Vietnam Railways Corporation, Vietnam Electricity Group, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group, Vietnam Airlines Corporation, Vietnam National Shipping Lines, Vietnam National Energy and Industry Group, Vietnam National Petroleum Group, Hoa Phat Group, Vingroup Joint Stock Company, Tran Phu Electromechanical Joint Stock Company, Hiep Hoa Auto Corporation Joint Stock Company, Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company, Thanh Cong Group Joint Stock Company, Automech Mechanical Equipment and Solutions Joint Stock Company, ATAD Steel Structure Joint Stock Company, An Cuong Wood Joint Stock Company, Trung Nguyen Group Joint Stock Company, Sun Group Joint Stock Company, MIK Group Vietnam Joint Stock Company and Vietnam Textile and Garment Group./.

In addition to the solemn ceremony and the summary and award activities, the closing night also featured an art program with the theme "I love my Fatherland" gathering artists of many generations: People's Artist Thanh Hoa, Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan, singers Trong Tan, Thu Minh, Tung Duong, Ho Ngoc Ha, Hoang Thuy Linh, Bao Anh, Truc Nhan, Trong Hieu, RHYDER, PiaLinh, Double2T, violinist Anh Tu...; with the participation of the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra, the Buc Tuong band, the Trong Dong group and the TRE dance troupe.

The closing ceremony ended with a brilliant fireworks display, concluding the series of interesting display and experience activities of the exhibition celebrating the country's 80 years of achievements.
