Exhibition of Vietnamese ethnic costumes in Paris

VHO - Recently, at the Vietnamese Cultural Center in France, the France - Vietnam Friendship Association (AAFV) held the opening ceremony of the Exhibition of Vietnamese ethnic costumes on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations and 10 years of Vietnam - France Strategic Partnership.

The event was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang, AAFV President Nguyen Hai Nam, AAFV Honorary President Hélène Luc, as well as many AAFV members, friends, representatives of the Vietnamese community in France and the interested French public.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Alain Dussarps - Vice President of AAFV and also the author of the displayed collection, recounted his journey of more than 30 years of collecting memorabilia associated with the journey of implementing activities and projects to support ethnic minority communities in many localities across Vietnam. Up to now, he and AAFV are happy and proud to have implemented more than 600 projects in more than 50 provinces and cities and helped people of more than 30 ethnic minorities in Vietnam to improve their lives.

Ambassador Dinh Toan Thang welcomed the organization of the Exhibition and highly appreciated the positive results in supporting Vietnamese ethnic minorities - a pillar in many other support and solidarity activities with Vietnam implemented by AAFV over the years. Expressing gratitude for the dedicated and active contributions of Mr. Alain Dussarps personally as well as many generations of AAFV members and French friends of Vietnam, the Ambassador emphasized that these contributions have helped foster close ties and contributed to strengthening the special friendship and solidarity between the people of Vietnam and France.

The exhibition in Paris will last until November 11, is open to the public and is a continuation of a series of exhibitions and cultural and artistic activities organized by AAFV and AAFV branches in many localities of France since the beginning of the year.
