Ms. Ha Thi Thanh Hoan checks the quality of cordyceps mushrooms before harvesting.
After graduating from Thai Nguyen University of Science , Ms. Ha Thi Thanh Hoan continued her master's degree in biotechnology. In 2017, like many other students after graduation, Ms. Hoan chose to return to Hanoi to start a career and apply to work for a private enterprise. During this time, she was able to apply a lot of the knowledge she had learned and gain more experience in modern production in practice. In 2023, Ms. Hoan set a new goal for herself, which is to return to her hometown Thanh Son to start a career, to stay attached to the land where she was born and raised.
Returning to her hometown, Ms. Hoan realized that the conditions for high-quality agricultural production were more favorable than in the city, which was the land conditions. Moreover, in the era of industry 4.0, focusing on investing in modern machinery and equipment and creating good products, consumption was easier. With accumulated capital and borrowing from relatives and friends, Ms. Ha Thi Thanh Hoan boldly invested more than 1 billion VND in factories and machinery, proactively applying technology to the production of cordyceps products, serving the needs of the consumption market inside and outside Thanh Son district.
During the implementation process, despite many difficulties such as: The stages of making the product require high techniques, strict standards, if the operation is not precise, the finished product does not meet the standards, it will not be usable. However, with experience and high determination, Ms. Hoan proactively selected and crossbred the breed, then multiplied the biomass, and put it into cultivation.
Ms. Ha Thi Thanh Hoan said: “To create good quality products, I have invested in building a modern cultivation facility with modern machinery and equipment. The cultivation technology uses completely natural raw materials, such as: brown rice, coconut water, potatoes and supplemented with some necessary vitamins. Along with that, the technical room must ensure that the temperature, light, humidity, air supply and filtration systems are installed automatically, and adjusted precisely for each growth stage. In addition, in the process of caring for the substrate, strictly follow the cultivation techniques and care of Cordyceps. After harvesting the fresh finished product, I use sublimation technology to ensure that the original quality is maintained, with a beautiful orange-yellow color, characteristic flavor, meeting the health care needs of many consumers, creating a unique advantage compared to similar products on the market...”.
Thanks to that, Ms. Hoan's Agricultural and Medicinal Products Production and Trading Facility has succeeded in the first batch of cultivation, which is the basis for Ms. Hoan to produce Cordyceps sinensis in cycles. To ensure the conditions of the facility, she has been fully guided by the local authorities and functional agencies on the steps to complete the registration procedures, fully meeting the production and food safety conditions.
Along with ensuring production compliance with the correct process and ensuring technical standards on food safety, the Agricultural and Medicinal Products Production and Trading Establishment also pays attention to building a brand from printing packaging, designs to promoting product quality on social networking platforms... Thanks to that, each month, Ms. Hoan sells 10-15kg of dried Cordyceps, with an average price of 500,000 VND to 1.5 million VND/tael. In addition, Ms. Hoan also grows oyster mushrooms with high quality and yield, selling 10-20kg of fresh oyster mushrooms every day, with an average selling price of 50,000 VND/kg. After deducting expenses, Ms. Ha Thi Thanh Hoan's family earns 250-300 million VND/year. This is the driving force that helps the Agricultural and Medicinal Products Production and Trading Establishment continue to develop production, business, and improve product quality in the coming time.
