The Vietnam U20 women's team is in Group A of the second qualifying round of the 2024 AFC U20 Women's Championship. Coach Akira Ijiri and his team's opponents are Iran U20, Lebanon U20 and Australia U20. In the second qualifying round, Vietnam U20 has home field advantage when playing at Viet Tri Stadium, Phu Tho province.
According to coach Akira Ijiri, U20 Iran is very strong in individual skills. They also have good physical strength and tactical thinking. However, U20 Vietnam has prepared carefully for each match.
