Accordingly, the town's economy continued to maintain a good growth rate, with the first quarter production value (at 2010 comparable prices) reaching 1,280 billion VND, reaching 28.1% of the plan, up 8.87% over the same period in 2023. Of which, agriculture, forestry and fishery increased by 6.46%, industry and construction increased by 8.44%, and trade and services increased by 10.41%. Total retail sales of goods and service revenue were estimated at 670 billion VND, reaching 28.39% of the plan and up 28.6% over the same period last year.

Implementing the direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on restructuring the agricultural sector towards increasing added value and product quality, promoting the application of technology in production in the context of climate change, currently, agricultural and forestry production in the town has developed stably, relatively comprehensively and shifted towards high-quality, high-level agricultural production.

Also in the first quarter, the production situation of factories and enterprises remained stable, estimated at over 750 billion VND, reaching 30.08% of the plan and increasing by 4.91% over the same period in 2023. In particular, the output of some main products such as: refined sugar, electricity production, domestic water, burnt bricks, cashew processing... increased significantly compared to the same period in 2023.

To create momentum to promote industrial growth, the town has created conditions for businesses to develop sustainably. Ia Sao Industrial Cluster currently has 3 investment projects in operation with a total capital of nearly 60 billion VND on a total area of ​​5.39 hectares, with an occupancy rate of 51.43%, including: The hot asphalt concrete mixing station project of Gia Lai Road Management and Repair Joint Stock Company with a capacity of 104 tons/hour on an area of ​​1.16 hectares, a total investment of 8 billion VND, creating stable jobs for 15 workers; The investment project of a microbiological organic fertilizer production workshop of Thanh Thanh Cong Agricultural Development Joint Stock Company - Gia Lai Branch with a capacity of 9,000 tons/year on an area of ​​3.19 hectares, a total investment of 37.08 billion VND, creating stable jobs for 30 workers; The tobacco raw material processing and tobacco bark production project of Minh Khang Cao Nguyen One Member Co., Ltd. has a capacity of 1,000 tons of raw materials/year on an area of ​​1.04 hectares, with a total investment of 14 billion VND, creating jobs for about 80 workers.

In addition, 2 projects are proposing to request investment policies, including: Project to build a pellet and wood chip factory with an expected capacity of 30,000 tons of products/year on an area of ​​1.04 hectares, with a total investment of 30 billion VND; Project to build a fruit and vegetable processing factory for export with an expected capacity of 22,000 tons of fruits and vegetables/year on an area of ​​0.77 hectares, with a total investment of 15 billion VND.

In order to achieve and exceed budget revenue targets, from the beginning of 2024, the Town People's Committee directed communes and wards to coordinate and synchronously implement measures to generate budget revenue, ensuring the exploitation of local revenue sources in a reasonable, positive and sustainable manner from production and business activities, in line with economic growth rate.

Accordingly, the total estimated budget revenue from the beginning of the year to March 31 (excluding surplus revenue, source transfer revenue, and revenue transferred to the commune budget from the district budget) is over 118 billion VND, reaching 34.73% of the estimate assigned by the province and the People's Council of the town, an increase of 20.39% over the same period in 2023. Of which, the budget revenue in the area is over 44 billion VND, reaching 39.41% of the estimate assigned by the province and the People's Council of the town, an increase of 91.17% over the same period last year.

With the foundation of being the center of the dynamic economic region in the Southeast of the province, Ayun Pa town is striving to build the image of a civilized urban area, commensurate with its position and available potential. To realize this goal, from the beginning of the year, it has promoted the implementation of the socio-economic development plan, attracting investment in parallel with the work of planning, urban planning management, focusing on urban infrastructure improvement in the direction of scale, synchronization, ensuring the criteria of a civilized urban area.

In addition, the town focuses on developing a plan to inspect urban construction order, deploying the preparation of a dossier to adjust the overall construction master plan until 2030; at the same time, completing the dossier to adjust the local construction master plan for the town until 2030. Regularly review "black spots" and potential traffic accident risk points to propose to competent authorities for handling.

Along with that, the collection and transportation of household waste is carried out regularly; the system of trees planted on inner-city roads, median strips, parks and squares is maintained and protected. Traffic light systems and public lighting systems in the area are regularly inspected and repaired, contributing to creating a new look for the city.

The socio-cultural sector also achieved many results in the first quarter of 2024. Accordingly, the regimes and policies for beneficiaries according to State regulations were implemented promptly and correctly. National defense and security were maintained; political security and social order and safety were ensured.

Agencies, units, and People's Committees of communes and wards have performed well their tasks related to administrative reform. Continue to promote the use of document management and administration software; exchange work via the official email system... Strengthen the application of information technology in handling work, meetings, providing online public services at levels 3 and 4; exchange information on Zalo application groups, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management activities of the Town People's Committee.

At the same time, well implement the coordination regulations for the 2021-2026 term and the coordination program for 2024 between the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the town; coordinate between the People's Committee of the town and mass organizations; between the People's Committee of the town and specialized agencies advising and assisting the Town Party Committee in the work of gathering and building the great national unity bloc, mobilizing people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.

Extensively deploy many patriotic emulation campaigns and movements associated with the implementation of the campaigns: "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", "Changing the thinking and working methods of ethnic minorities to gradually rise up to escape poverty sustainably", "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", campaigning to build the "For the poor" Fund... Continue to promote the study and follow of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.
