Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh inspects work for women's advancement and gender equality at the Engineering Corps

( Bqp.vn ) - On the morning of October 4, Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Head of the Committee for the Advancement of Women (VSTBCPN) of the Ministry of National Defense inspected the work of VSTBCPN and gender equality at the Engineering Corps. Attending the inspection were Major General Dinh Ngoc Tuong, Party Secretary, Political Commissar of the Engineering Corps; Colonel Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Head of the Women's Committee of the Army.

According to the inspection team's assessment, in the period of 2021 - 2024, the work of VSTBCPN and gender equality was seriously and comprehensively implemented by the Engineer Corps. The VSTBCPN Board of the Corps thoroughly grasped the documents, instructions and guidance from above, advised and proposed to the Standing Party Committee and the Head of the Corps Command the contents and solutions to implement the work of VSTBCPN and gender equality specifically, in accordance with the actual situation and tasks of each agency, unit and school.

Currently, the entire Engineering Corps has 15 subordinate Women's Health and Safety Committees; Party committees and commanders at all levels always create favorable conditions in terms of time and financial support for women's organizations to operate, encourage cadres and members to work with peace of mind, and fulfill their assigned tasks and responsibilities. 100% of female workers in units have stable jobs, and are basically assigned jobs that are suitable for their profession, training, health conditions and family circumstances. Women's Unions at all levels promptly care for and help 100% of members in difficult circumstances. Every year, the Women's Health and Safety Committee of the Corps coordinates with the military medical sector to direct agencies and units to organize periodic and specialized health check-ups for female cadres and members...

Concluding the inspection, Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh commended and praised the achievements of the VSTBCPN Committee of the Engineer Corps in the recent past. Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh requested the Party Committee, the Command and the Party committees and commanders at all levels of the Engineer Corps to continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State, documents of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the General Department of Politics on VSTBCPN and gender equality; focus on implementing activities to realize the goals and targets of the VSTBCPN and gender equality Action Plan for the period 2021 - 2025. Focus on promoting propaganda and education to raise awareness and responsibility of the VSTBCPN Committees at all levels, of Party committees, political commissars, political officers, commanders and cadres, lecturers, employees, students, soldiers, and women's association members in the Corps. Well implement the operating regulations of the VSTBCPN Committee in the Vietnam People's Army; Building and developing a team of female cadres, focusing on planning, training, and fostering in conjunction with the use of female cadres; selecting and recruiting female cadres into the cadre team. Pay attention to creating conditions for both genders to participate in educational and communication activities on health care, reproductive health, and the use of medical services. Advise on the development of policies and regimes to improve the quality of life, build prosperous, progressive, civilized, and happy families for cadres, employees, soldiers, women's union members, and workers in the Corps.
