National Economics University meets FIBAA international education quality standards

NDO - On the afternoon of October 24, in Hanoi, the International Education Quality Assessment Organization FIBAA awarded the Certificate of meeting the quality standards of higher education institutions and the standards of 15 training programs to the National Economics University.

At the ceremony, Ms. Diane Freiberger, General Director of FIBAA, announced the resolution of the Quality Accreditation Council, under FIBAA, and awarded the Certificate of Quality Standards to the National Economics University and 15 of its training programs.

According to FIBAA General Director Diane Freiberger, the National Economics University has been constantly striving to develop advanced and exemplary quality assurance tools. FIBAA assesses quality based on five main criteria, which comprehensively reflect the teaching and learning process of a university including: strategy; entry requirements and student support services; content, structure and teaching methods; resources related to teaching staff and infrastructure; quality management.

The National Economics University is one of the first universities in Vietnam to complete the FIBAA quality accreditation process with 100% of the criteria meeting and exceeding the standards. The recognition of the educational institution quality standards by the FIBAA educational accreditation organization has affirmed the success of the National Economics University in ensuring and improving the quality of education; continuing to increase the benefits of learners such as credit recognition and transfer, registration for higher education at the world's leading prestigious universities, as well as job opportunities in developed countries.

Professor, Dr. Pham Hong Chuong, Principal of the National Economics University, shared that the FIBAA standards are a solid foundation for the school to comprehensively evaluate its activities as well as each training program, especially the teaching and learning process.

The educational quality assessment activities according to FIBAA standards have been implemented at the National Economics University since the beginning of 2022 and have completed the quality assessment process at the educational institution level and the quality assessment process for 15 training programs.

Thus, up to now, the National Economics University has had 20 programs meeting the quality standards of the ACBSP organization, USA and 15 programs meeting the quality standards of the FIBAA organization; in addition, there are 16 training programs meeting the quality standards of domestic standards.

Also according to Professor, Dr. Pham Hong Chuong, in 2024, the National Economics University will continue to implement the external assessment process for 21 training programs according to FIBAA standards and 12 training programs according to domestic standards.

Professor, Dr. Huynh Van Chuong, Director of the Department of Quality Management ( Ministry of Education and Training ), said that the National Economics University's certification by FIBAA, one of the prestigious international accreditation organizations, is very valuable. Currently, Vietnamese universities are increasing accreditation activities to contribute to increasing university autonomy; promoting the determination of enrollment targets; appropriately calculating tuition revenue; promoting international integration, and recognizing international degrees and certificates. The National Economics University is one of 11 Vietnamese higher education institutions that meet international accreditation standards, affirming the school's leading position in the Vietnamese higher education system.
