On the evening of October 20, the event "Vietnamese Cultural Evening" was held on a grand scale, concluding the series of events "Vietnamese Cultural Week" organized by the Association Enfance Partenariat VietNam - EPVN (Partnership for Vietnamese Children) from October 16-20 at the City Hall of Versailles, Republic of France.

The fourth evening was also the closing performance for the Vietnamese Cultural Week at Versailles, which began with a vibrant art performance with many performances imbued with Vietnamese traditions.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang acknowledged and highly appreciated the great significance that EPVN has done for Vietnamese children.

Ambassador Dinh Toan Thang expressed his emotion and affirmed that the Vietnam Cultural Week event in Versailles has contributed to building the good and traditional friendship between Vietnam and France, and is an important activity on the occasion of the two countries celebrating the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations and 10 years of strategic partnership.

Mayor of Versailles François de Mazières emphasized that the Vietnam Cultural Week in Versailles demonstrated the solidarity and creativity of the Vietnamese community here, contributing to connecting the people of the two countries and two nations. He expressed his emotion when EPVN organized a very meaningful cultural week in his city. This activity contributed to increasingly strengthening the relationship between the people of the two countries.

More specifically, the choir performance "Homeland" by 12 French children under the direction of Ms. Huong Giang, Lecturer at Versailles Grand Parc Conservatory, brought many surprises and applause from the audience.

The long applause showed admiration for the French children who skillfully and captivatingly performed Vietnamese nursery rhymes such as "Ly cay da" and "Ly ngua o"...

Little Xuan An's performance of the emotional song "Bonjour Vietnam" made a strong impression on the audience, bringing Vietnam closer to the people of Versailles.

Ms. Huong Giang shared that the French children were very excited to sing in a language other than their mother tongue. The melodies of Vietnamese music were very different from the songs they were used to singing, because of their softness and melodiousness, which made them very excited.

According to Ms. Huong Giang, every Vietnamese person living far away from home, no matter where they are or what position they hold, wants to become an ambassador for their country, bringing Vietnamese culture to the international community.

After the art performance, the audience visited the exhibition space of the collection of Alain Dussarps, President of the French Association for Technical and Cultural Cooperation (ACOTEC), an activist with many development projects in Vietnam, with more than 100 costumes, scarves and traditional headgear of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups.

Many Vietnamese people know Alain Dussarps because since 1986, when he was still an electrical engineer, he has been supporting vaccination activities for Vietnamese infants.

The fashion show also attracted the attention of the audience with the introduction of the collection of traditional Vietnamese costumes designed specifically for Versailles by designer Nguyen Manh Thang, making a strong impression on the French audience.

Young students at Versailles confidently performed traditional Vietnamese ao dai, meticulously designed by fashion designer Nguyen Manh Thang. These young French students also showed great love for the unique and new costumes.

EPVN was founded in December 2007 and is headquartered in Versailles. The association was founded by parents who want to help orphans in Vietnam while maintaining, developing and strengthening the relationship between Vietnam and France.

EPVN's main goal is to improve the living conditions of children in orphanages and poor families in Vietnam.

For this purpose, various projects have been developed in collaboration with local authorities and the Red Cross. EPVN provides humanitarian aid by providing complementary foods or milk for infants; conducting vaccination campaigns and organizing health activities; providing hygiene products and developing awareness campaigns in this area.
