Pioneering, brave and creative youth of Industry and Trade in the term 2025

On the afternoon of November 10, the solemn session of the 5th Congress of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Industry and Trade , term 2025 - 2030, officially took place. Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade attended and delivered a speech directing the Congress.

Affirming the bravery and pioneering spirit of young people in the Industry and Trade sector

The 5th Congress of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Industry and Trade is a particularly important political event, marking the maturity of the youth of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. This is not only an opportunity to look back on the past journey with proud achievements, but also a moment to affirm the aspirations, will and pioneering spirit of the youth of Industry and Trade in the journey to build a sustainable development of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Delivering the opening speech at the solemn session of the Congress, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Tam, Acting Secretary of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, term IV, clearly stated the three key tasks of the Congress term V to be worthy of the action slogan "Youth of Industry and Trade: Unity - Pioneer - Courage - Creativity". Specifically:

Firstly, focus on summarizing and objectively and comprehensively evaluating the implementation of the Resolution of the 4th Congress of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; clearly pointing out the results achieved, the shortcomings and limitations, and drawing lessons. At the same time, identify the goals, directions, tasks and key solutions to continue to innovate and improve the quality of the Youth Union and youth movement of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the coming term.

Second, elect the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Industry and Trade for the 2025-2030 term and elect the delegation to attend the first Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Government, ensuring standards, quantity, and structure; demonstrating the spirit of democracy, responsibility, solidarity, and unity.

Third, discuss and contribute opinions on the draft documents of the National Youth Union Congress and the documents of the first Government Youth Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, contributing to building the orientation of Youth Union work and youth movements in the new period.

At the solemn session, the representative of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, term V, presented the direction of activities for the 2025 - 2030 term. Accordingly, with the slogan of action "Youth of the Ministry of Industry and Trade: Solidarity - Pioneering - Courage - Creativity", the Youth Union of the Ministry of Industry and Trade identified three strategic goals: Building a generation of young people with courage, intelligence, ideals and aspirations to contribute; developing a professional Youth Union organization, adapting to the digital age; promoting the pioneering role of union members in digital transformation, green industry and circular economy. In the new term, the Youth Union of the Ministry sets a goal of 100% of union members studying the resolution, each unit having at least one digital transformation model, deploying AI applications in Union activities and introducing at least 100 outstanding union members to the Party.

The report on the direction of activities for the 2025 - 2030 term also clearly stated that in the next 5 years, the Youth Union of the Ministry of Industry and Trade identified three breakthrough tasks including: Innovating the content and methods of Union activities in the context of digital transformation; improving the quality of young cadres in the direction of "Pioneering - Creativity - Transformation - Integration - Development" and linking the volunteer movement with industry expertise, towards the goal of sustainable development, green economy and social responsibility.

Development orientation of Industry and Trade youth for the term 2025 - 2030

Speaking at the Congress, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ministry's Party Committee, emphasized that in the past term, the Youth Union of the Ministry of Industry and Trade has achieved many outstanding results. The union members have been proactive, creative, and have many new and good ways of doing things; at the same time, they have promoted their intelligence and sense of responsibility, linking the union movement with the political and professional tasks of the industry.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan also frankly pointed out a number of limitations, namely the lack of boldness in innovating operating methods, not really creating breakthroughs with great influence; at the same time, he mentioned a number of key contents in the upcoming direction.

Firstly, strictly implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, and the regulations of the Youth Union Charter; ensure unity in leadership and direction, while promoting creativity and proactiveness in implementing activities.

Second, continue to promote the pioneering and creative role of youth in the Industry and Trade sector; effectively use resources, closely link Youth Union activities with the political and professional tasks of the Ministry; create a unique mark, a "brand" for the Youth Union of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Third, focus on building substantial, extensive and effective Youth Union movements; promptly deploy action programs to implement the Congress Resolution; perfect working regulations and work programs for the entire term; clearly assign tasks to the Executive Committee and Standing Committee, and quickly put the Resolution into practice.

Fourth, proactively promote the role of youth in implementing the Industry and Trade Development Strategy to 2030, vision 2045; linking the Youth Union movement with the digital transformation and sustainable development goals of the industry.

Fifth, it is necessary to develop mechanisms and solutions to encourage union members and young people to study, research, innovate and create; boldly go beyond their comfort zone, arouse the spirit of daring to think and do, turn creative ideas into concrete actions, and make practical contributions to professional work.

Sixth, the Youth Union needs to be more proactive in introducing outstanding members for the Party to consider and admit; at the same time, grasp the thoughts and aspirations of members to promptly advise the Party Committee and agency leaders, creating the best conditions for young people to practice, mature, assert themselves and promote their role as a reliable bridge between the Youth Union and the Party.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Bui Hoang Tung, Secretary of the Government Youth Union, affirmed that the Youth Union at all levels of the Ministry of Industry and Trade has innovated the content and methods of operation; synchronously deployed many solutions associated with the political tasks of the Ministry and the development trend of the country.

Regarding education, it is necessary to proactively develop regular and flexible activity plans, linked with major anniversaries of the country and the industry, creating a spillover effect throughout the Ministry.

The Secretary of the Government Youth Union also emphasized the importance of developing high-quality young human resources - one of the three strategic breakthroughs mentioned in the draft of the 14th National Party Congress. He believes that the new Executive Committee will continue to promote the spirit of initiative and creativity, contributing to making the Youth Union of the Ministry of Industry and Trade a bright spot in the Government sector.
