35 years ago, in the context of ammunition serving national defense mainly provided by the Soviet Union and socialist countries, diverse in types, many types were degraded, the need for maintenance, repair, and restoration became urgent to ensure safety and combat readiness. On November 20, 1990, Senior Lieutenant General Dao Dinh Luyen, Deputy Minister of National Defense signed Decision No. 271/QD-BQP approving the economic and technical justification for the establishment of the X265 Ammunition Repair Workshop, marking the birth of the unit. The workshop is responsible for repairing small ammunition of system 1 and system 2; building and repairing ammunition boxes for facilities and units in the Central region and performing a number of mobile tasks. Since then, November 20 every year has been identified as the Traditional Day of the X265 Workshop.

After 35 years of construction and development, generations of cadres, employees and soldiers of Workshop X265 have always maintained and promoted the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, the tradition of "Devotion, bravery, preserving guns and ammunition, serving to win" of the Military Armament Department, well implementing the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh : "Weapons are the sweat and tears of compatriots, the blood and bones of soldiers, so we must cherish them, save them, be neat and use them properly". That precious tradition has become a source of strength and motivation for cadres, employees and soldiers today to follow in the footsteps of their predecessors, constantly train and strive to excellently complete assigned tasks.

Towards the 35th anniversary of the Traditional Day, all cadres, employees and soldiers of Workshop X265 have promoted the spirit of solidarity, high determination, unanimously implementing all the contents and targets of the emulation campaign "35 days of exemplary action". The unit focused on doing a good job of propaganda, education, and effectively disseminating directives and resolutions of superiors, especially Regulation No. 144-QD/TW dated May 9, 2024 of the Politburo on revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and party members in the new period; at the same time, strictly implementing the "5 determinations" and "5 proactiveness" under the direction of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. Thereby, building a team of cadres, employees and soldiers with strong political will, high sense of responsibility, ready to receive and complete all assigned tasks.

Along with the emulation to complete political tasks, Workshop X265 promotes digital transformation, military administrative reform, building regulations, training discipline and consolidating working order. In the workshops, the emulation movement spreads strongly. With the spirit of "On the bullet repair line, the song resounds", officers, workers and soldiers work enthusiastically and diligently at each stage, mastering the technology of repairing and restoring all types of bullets, major repairs of shells, contributing to ensuring good weapons and technical equipment for training missions and combat readiness.

Party and political work were carried out comprehensively and in depth, associated with taking care of the material and spiritual life of the soldiers. The Workshop's Emulation and Reward Council directed the committees, workshops, mass organizations, and the Military Council to concretize the contents, targets, and measures into the action program, organize dissemination, and deploy to 100% of cadres, members, union members, youth, and all soldiers in the unit.

Promoting the pioneering and creative role of the youth, the Workshop Youth Union has undertaken many practical tasks such as the "Volunteer Saturday" and "Green Sunday" movements, coordinating with the local units to repair the cultural house campus, schools, martyrs' cemeteries, dredging canals and fields, and cleaning the environment. On this occasion, the entire Workshop has dozens of youth projects that have been consolidated and newly built, bringing practical results, serving the lives and collective activities of the soldiers.

Cultural, artistic and discussion activities with the theme "X265 Workshop - 35 years with the mission of reviving the golden bullets", along with collective singing and dancing programs, military dances were organized enthusiastically, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, improving the spiritual life of officers and soldiers. Along with that, the Workshop organized many "Repaying gratitude" activities such as visiting and giving gifts to soldiers who are children of martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers working at the unit, with a total amount of more than 50 million VND. These meaningful and humane activities contributed to spreading the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers, "Heroic Weapon Soldiers" in the hearts of local people.

Proud of the 35-year journey of construction and growth, the officers, employees and soldiers of Workshop X265 are determined to continue to promote tradition, uphold the spirit of responsibility, solidarity, creativity, strive to compete to excellently complete all tasks, contributing to building a strong and comprehensive Military Armament Department, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
