USD exchange rate today June 3, 2025 on the world market
The Dollar Index (DXY), which measures the USD against six major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF), stopped at 98.64 - down 1.2 points compared to June 2, 2025.

Michael Brown, a market analyst at online brokerage Pepperstone in London, said selling pressure on the dollar was widespread. “Every time there’s a tariff scare, people jump into the ‘sell America’ scenario,” Brown said.
The dollar fell nearly 1% against the Japanese yen to 142.60 yen, almost erasing last week's gains. The euro rose 0.8% to $1.1437, its highest since late April. Markets will focus this week on the European Central Bank's interest rate decision and the policy outlook.
The greenback continued to weaken after data showed US manufacturing contracted for a third straight month in May, and suppliers struggled to deliver goods due to the impact of tariffs, a potential sign of goods shortages.
Earlier in the session, data showed European manufacturing stabilised in May, while activity in Asia contracted.
The USD Index, which measures the greenback's strength against six major currencies, fell 0.7% to 98.63, just off a three-year low of 97.923 set in late April.
