On the afternoon of June 18th, the Vietnam U.19 women's team will face the Thailand U.19 women's team in the final of the 2025 Southeast Asian U.19 Women's Championship.
In this match, the U.19 Thai women's team took control of the game from the very first minutes. The team from the land of the golden temples scored the opening goal in the 27th minute. Taking advantage of a mistake by a Vietnamese player, Rinyaphat Moondong stole the ball, surged forward, and skillfully finished into the far corner to give Thailand a 1-0 lead.

It wasn't until the beginning of the second half that the Vietnam U.19 women's team equalized. In the 50th minute, the Vietnam U.19 women's team executed a sharp combination play; Nguyen Ngo Thao Nguyen made a through pass in the midfield for Hoang Van to break free and be fouled by an opponent inside the penalty area. The referee pointed to the penalty spot.
In the 51st minute, Do Thi Thuy Nga made no mistake from the penalty spot, unleashing a powerful shot to equalize the score at 1-1 for the Vietnam U.19 women's team.
But then, the Thai U.19 women's team surged forward and scored two goals to create a significant lead. In the 61st minute, a Thai player was fouled in the penalty area and the team from the land of the golden temples was awarded a penalty. From the penalty spot, Kurisara Limpawanich deceived the Vietnamese goalkeeper, increasing the score to 2-1.

In the 68th minute, Phatcharaphorn Khuchuea unleashed a long-range shot from outside the penalty area, extending Thailand's lead to 3-1. 3-1 was also the final score of the match.
The Thailand U.19 women's team won the 2025 Southeast Asian U.19 Women's Championship. Meanwhile, the Vietnam U.19 women's team secured the runner-up position for the fourth consecutive time in the regional tournament, after four editions. This is the third time Vietnam has lost to Thailand in the regional U.19 women's championship final. The previous two times were in 2014 and 2023.
