On the evening of March 23rd, the Vietnam U22 team played their second match in the CFA China Team 2025 international friendly tournament against the Uzbekistan U22 team. In this tournament, the Central Asian team is considered stronger than the South Korea U22 team (who drew 1-1 with Vietnam U22 in their opening match). The Uzbekistan U22 squad even includes players who have previously been part of the senior national team.

Vietnam U.22 played confidently.

Against a highly-rated opponent, the Vietnam U22 team started the match confidently. Coach Dinh Hong Vinh's team created an even game against Uzbekistan U22. The Vietnamese players had many attacking moves and shots on goal, but they lacked the necessary danger to trouble the opposing goalkeeper.

Conversely, after warming up, the Uzbekistan U22 team demonstrated their class. The team from Central Asia continuously threatened goalkeeper Cao Van Binh's goal. However, the Vietnam U22 team played a resilient defense to keep a clean sheet before halftime. The first half ended in a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan U22 also had their second consecutive draw, both with a 0-0 score (their opening match was a draw against the host team, China U22).

In the other match of the second round, China U22 won 1-0 against South Korea U22. Thus, the host team temporarily moved to the top of the group with 3 points (1 draw, 1 win) and a goal difference of +1. Vietnam U22 is second with 2 points and a goal difference of 0. Uzbekistan U22 is third (tied with 2 points, but with fewer goals scored). South Korea U22 is last with 1 point (1 draw, 1 loss) and a goal difference of -1.
