On the morning of November 10, U22 Vietnam moved to Noi Bai airport ( Hanoi ), on their way to China to participate in the international football tournament CFA Team China Panda Cup 2025 (Chengdu, Sichuan, China) from November 12 to 18. This is a very important preparation stage for Van Truong and his teammates before the 33rd SEA Games .

On this morning's trip, U22 Vietnam only had 12 players along with Acting Head Coach Dinh Hong Vinh and some members of the coaching staff. The reason was that the group of players from Thanh Hoa, HAGL, Ninh Binh and CA TP.HCM had just played on the evening of November 9, so they flew from Tan Son Nhat Airport (HCMC) to China.

The remaining group of clubs playing late in round 11 of V-League includes: Nam Dinh Blue Steel, Hanoi FC, CAHN and Ha Tinh, leaving for China on November 11.

CFA Team China Panda Cup 2025 helps U22 Vietnam have a quality preparation not only for SEA Games 33, but also the AFC U23 Championship taking place in January 2026.

According to the schedule announced by the Organizing Committee, U22 Vietnam will play the opening match against host China at 6:35 p.m. on November 12, then meet Uzbekistan (2:30 p.m. on November 15), and South Korea (2:30 p.m. on November 18).

After this tournament, U22 Vietnam returned home to train in Vung Tau from November 23, and went to Thailand on December 2 to attend the 33rd SEA Games.
