Mr. Le Toan Thang, Deputy Director of the National Center for Supporting Innovative Startups, said that Vietnam prioritizes supporting Vietnamese-Korean innovative startups in the fields of plastic recycling, agricultural products and wastewater treatment.
In particular, for Vietnamese creative startups, the National Center for Creative Startup Support can support businesses with offices and workspaces in Korea.
Mr. Thang expects that Korean innovation enterprises attending Techfest Vietnam 2024 (scheduled to be held in November 2024 in Hai Phong) at the invitation of the Ministry of Science and Technology will have opportunities to share, connect and cooperate effectively with Vietnamese enterprises. Thereby, promoting investment activities of Korean enterprises in Vietnam.

Mr. Lee Sungkwan - Director of Project Operation Department of Korea Management Consulting Company KMAC, Director of Operation of Upcycling Seoul Startup Support Center said that KMAC is implementing many projects to support startups in innovation. Upcycling Seoul Startup Support Center is a platform to create cooperation projects with foreign enterprises, including Vietnam.
KMAC is also focusing on implementing smart city projects. The company hopes to have more opportunities to cooperate with Vietnamese government agencies in this field.
In an interview with Vietnam Business Magazine, Mr. Lee Sungkwan added that KMAC has accompanied government agencies in the process of developing Korea's industry for over 30 years.
“Based on experience, we see that, in order to develop small and medium enterprises, first of all, we need policy guidance from the Government. Next are more specific policies for projects to support small and medium enterprises. In particular, the participation of large enterprises from Vietnam and Korea is needed in this support process. Vietnamese enterprises that need cooperation can connect directly with KMAC, the company is ready to exchange more specific information.
