Mr. Hao used to be a worker at Deo Nhong Phu My Farm from 1983 to 1985, then enlisted in Company 17, Regiment 572. In 1988, he was discharged from the army and lived in Binh Long village and Van Phuoc Dong village, My Hiep commune. Also from this time, Mr. Hao began participating in local mass activities. From June 2021 to present, he has been the village chief of village 10, Van Phuoc Dong village, My Hiep commune.
As the village chief, a member of the Farmers' Association and the Village War Veterans' Association, Mr. Hao actively guided the villagers on how to plant green fences, build flower beds, make waste treatment pits, raise breeding cows, self-manage roads, collect waste, clear rural traffic routes, and mobilize the villagers and the village's political system to build two Great Solidarity houses.
He is also known as a prestigious person among the people, with a sense of responsibility, enthusiastically mobilizing people in the village to participate in donating land, proactively cutting down trees to build rural concrete roads, and was commended by My Hiep commune.
Mr. Hao shared: “For more than 36 years since I was demobilized and returned to my hometown, I have participated in collective activities. I am happy because I have always been trusted by the people in the neighborhood and the organization to assign tasks. I consider the neighborhood's work as my own, and I just put all my heart and effort into it.”
From his enthusiastic participation in the movement with the sense of responsibility of Uncle Ho's soldier, Mr. Hao was noticed by the Party cell and the village farmers' association. After being encouraged and motivated by everyone to contribute to building the Party organization in My Hiep commune, combined with his strong belief, Mr. Hao wrote an application to join the Party.
According to the Party Charter, the admission of people over 60 years old into the Party is considered and decided by the Central Party Committee. Therefore, the Phu My District Party Committee's Organizing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee have carefully examined and verified the standards and conditions for Party members to submit to the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee for consideration and decision. On December 24, 2024, after a year of probation with the guidance and assistance of two Party members in the Party cell, Mr. Hao officially became a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Standing before the Party flag, the National flag and the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh , the 65-year-old man was moved to tears as he clenched his fists and loudly swore an oath before the Party flag and the National flag. “The moment I raised my clenched fists and shouted the three words “I swear!”, I felt extremely honored and proud, but I also realized that I would be more responsible for all assigned tasks,” said Party member Hao.
Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of My Hiep Commune, Le Thi Tuyet Hang, affirmed: “Mr. Hao is truly a special Party member, not only in his age but also in his way of life and his dedication to social and community activities. The Party Committee of the Commune always encourages, motivates and creates the best conditions for the masses to be admitted to the Party, with the motto of focusing on the quality of Party members. Although he joined later than others, Party member Pham Hao is the active nucleus that the Party Committee of the Commune needs.”
