Earlier this morning (September 10th), at Km191+400 on the Phap Van Expressway, water from the downstream area overflowed onto the highway. Traffic police implemented traffic diversion and temporarily banned vehicles from circulating to ensure safety. Immediately after the incident, Mr. Bui Quang Thai, Director of the Vietnam Road Administration, personally inspected the site and gave instructions on the operation of the route. Along with requesting continued efforts to regulate traffic and ensure safe vehicle flow, the Director of the Vietnam Road Administration suggested that the investor study the possibility of adding drainage works. If the flooding problem cannot be resolved, Mr. Thai instructed the investor to study the possibility of improving the infrastructure by raising the roadbed level in some essential sections.
