According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, many sidewalks in the central area have seriously deteriorated after years of use. Therefore, renovating, replacing paving stones, and upgrading sidewalks is essential to improve the urban landscape and ensure traffic safety for pedestrians.

Observations at Pham Ngu Lao Street (Ben Thanh Ward) and 23/9 Park show workers urgently dismantling the old sidewalk tiles, preparing for new paving to upgrade the urban space and create a clean and beautiful landscape.

Similarly, construction is being rushed on Le Loi Street (Saigon Ward) to complete the sidewalks before the Lunar New Year of the Horse.

In addition, at the Ho Chi Minh City Post Office area, many workers are also working urgently to complete the final stages of construction.

Before starting the renovation, the contractor conducted inspections and developed a detailed construction plan, ensuring the progress and quality of the sidewalk beautification work on the streets.

Workers have been mobilized to the maximum extent on construction sites, working continuously to dismantle old sidewalks and construct new ones. The renovation is expected to increase pedestrian safety and improve urban aesthetics.

With a total budget of over 442 billion VND, the sidewalk renovation project on 91 roads is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

In particular, in 2026, the units will continue to review and implement transitional projects to ensure the uniformity and quality of the city's sidewalk system.

The dismantling of sidewalks is taking place extensively along streets throughout Ho Chi Minh City.

According to observations by a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper, on Vo Van Tan street (Xuan Hoa ward), many workers are urgently demolishing the old sidewalks to make way for new ones, improving the pedestrian space.

Although the temporary sidewalk renovation will affect pedestrian access, the construction process will be carried out quickly, providing residents with a safer and more convenient walking space as soon as possible.

"Renovating the sidewalks is very important, especially during Tet (Lunar New Year). It not only makes the space cleaner and easier to walk on, but also creates a good impression on international tourists like us," a foreign tourist shared.

The sidewalk renovation aims to ensure pedestrian safety and help the city prepare for a large influx of tourists during the Lunar New Year of the Horse.

With rapid construction progress and concerted efforts from relevant authorities, Ho Chi Minh City is gradually transforming its appearance, moving towards a modern, civilized, and convenient city for everyone.
