The most popular routes include Hanoi – Da Nang, Hanoi – Dong Hoi and Hanoi – Hai Phong, especially with high-quality trains such as SE19, SE20 or “Hoa Phuong Do”. Some routes recorded a “sold out” situation on weekends.

The railway industry has made many remarkable improvements in service quality, train car cleanliness, along with flexible pricing policies, free for children under 6 years old, children 6-10 years old are charged child fare. In addition, tourists also save on the cost of a night's stay and waiting time at the airport.
