Vietnam International Fashion Week marks 10 years with Vo Cong Khanh's opening collection

Vietnam International Fashion Week takes place from June 13-16, 2024 at Military Zone 7 Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City. After a decade of development, each season of Vietnam International Fashion Week has left new marks, bringing many Vietnamese fashion brands to the international level, opening up opportunities for exchange, cooperation and investment in the development of the Vietnamese fashion industry; not only is it a place to gather famous Vietnamese and international designers, but it is also a launching pad for many designers and young generations of models to shine.

The opening collection of this fashion week will mark an important step forward in the development, promotion of innovation and creativity of Aquafina Vietnam International Fashion Week over the past 10 years. Therefore, the Organizing Committee has trusted and entrusted this responsibility to designer Vo Cong Khanh with the Masterpiece Of Water collection , simulating the movement of water with 3D visual effects, associated with the theme #FashionEvolution.

Ms. Trang Le - President of the Association of Southeast Asian Fashion Designers (CAFD) and President of Vietnam International Fashion Week said: "This is an extremely special moment, a milestone marking the journey of the 10-year fashion dream of Aquafina Vietnam International Fashion Week with the theme #FashionEvolution - opening a completely new era. Therefore, we have great confidence in the design talent, creativity and difference that designer Vo Cong Khanh always puts in his collections".

Known as the "arrogant guy" in the Vietnamese fashion industry with his boldness and edginess in creating structural shapes and creative material handling, designer Vo Cong Khanh always knows how to make viewers admire, surprise and be curious with his designs and creations through each collection. For Vo Cong Khanh, design thinking has never been constrained by measurements or popular standards, he always breaks stereotyped structures, instead putting his own personality into different fashion designs.

For many years, designer Vo Cong Khanh has paid much attention to using recycled materials to create his impressive collections. Returning to the "Green" inspiration from "Water", designer Vo Cong Khanh said he will not bore viewers because he will continuously create differences, innovations and newness in each collection.

This time, he used the technique of arranging and connecting fabric pieces to create extremely vivid 3D block structures. In line with the theme #FashionEvolution of this year's program, designer Vo Cong Khanh will continue to draw a story of sustainable fashion through excess fabric scraps or utilize recycled materials to create a "Blue" sky with the meaningful message: "Contribute a drop of water to create an ocean".

Designer Vo Cong Khanh will also "tease" designs bearing the "breath" of the Water Masterpiece collection at the press conference of Vietnam International Fashion Week - spring-summer 2024 on the afternoon of June 3 at the Sofitel Saigon Hotel.
