To meet the requirements of the tasks in the new situation, along with focusing on perfecting, rearranging the apparatus, organization, and arranging suitable staff, ensuring the effective promotion of the role of agencies and units, the Provincial Border Guard attaches importance to training and combat readiness. Training is carried out according to the plan of the superiors, closely following the situation and actual requirements of the locality; focusing on specialized and specialized training. Thanks to the focus on implementing the training content well, the Provincial Border Guard has trained, fostered, and trained officers and soldiers with sufficient capacity, qualities, and health, ready to receive and complete all assigned tasks.

At the Training and Mobility Battalion (Provincial Border Guard), training of officers and soldiers, especially training of new soldiers, is focused on. Lieutenant Colonel Le Trong Hung, Battalion Commander of the Training and Mobility Battalion, said: "In addition to basic training according to the General Staff program, the unit organizes additional specialized training for an additional 1.5 months so that new soldiers can master the specific skills of the Border Guard before returning to the base."
Private Nguyen Sy Thanh Nhan (Platoon 3, Training - Mobile Company) shared: “After 5 months of training at the Battalion, I was equipped with a lot of knowledge about politics , military, and physical fitness. The dedicated guidance of the commander helped me acquire knowledge in border work. I am also mentally ready to carry out the task when assigned to a new unit.”
At the border posts on the province's border, maintaining training routines, combat readiness and practicing plans to handle unexpected situations, avoiding being passive and surprised, are carried out according to the unit's plan. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duy Phuong, Head of Ia Pnôn Border Post, informed: "We focus on training officers and soldiers to skillfully use weapons and equipment, strictly maintain duty regimes, and be ready to promptly respond to any situation in the area."

Currently, the Le Thanh International Border Guard Station is coordinating the construction of an automatic border gate system. It is expected that when implemented, the time for people to complete procedures will be shortened from 5 minutes to 1 minute, increasing the efficiency of management work, while still creating favorable conditions for trade activities but not letting criminals escape. Lieutenant Colonel Do Nhu Kien, Head of the Le Thanh International Border Guard Station, said: "The application of technology to border and gate management and control is being deployed by the unit. The unit is strengthening the control of trails, openings and exploiting camera systems, license plate recognition machines, facial recognition ...".
Building a solid people's border defense posture
Not only is the armed forces tasked with protecting the border, the provincial Border Guard also plays a core role in building the grassroots political system, consolidating people's trust in the Party, the State and local authorities. With the motto "The station is home, the border is homeland, ethnic minorities are blood brothers", border guards are always proactive in staying close to the area, closely attached to the people. Models such as "Adopted children of the border station", "Helping children go to school" or programs to support livelihoods, medical examination and treatment, road construction, and house repair that Gia Lai Border Guard has implemented not only help people stabilize their lives but also build a solid position of people's hearts.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Tuan Anh, Chief of Ia Nan Border Guard Station, said: “In addition to professional duties, officers and soldiers also stay close to the area, help people develop their family economy , and improve their legal knowledge. These practical activities contribute to building strong trust between the army and the people, creating a strong people's border defense posture.”
According to Colonel Tran Tien Hai - Deputy Commander of the Provincial Military Command, Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command, building a regular and modern force in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Provincial Border Guard continues to seriously implement resolutions and directives of superiors, linking force building with improving the effectiveness of inter-sectoral coordination, promoting border diplomacy, actively propagating and disseminating the Vietnam Border Guard Law to people in border areas.
“The officers and soldiers in the entire unit always maintain vigilance, fight to defeat all sabotage plots of hostile forces; effectively fight against all types of crimes and law violations in the border area, maintain security and order on both sides of the border. The unit also focuses on building and consolidating the people's hearts, the people's border defense posture within the people's national defense posture, associated with the people's security posture and the solid defense area posture, building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative border for mutual development,” added Colonel Tran Tien Hai.
