Bao Lam 5 commune has 4 products meeting 3-star OCOP standards. Livestock farming has developed towards concentrated farms and is well controlled for diseases. Forest management, protection and development have been focused on. The program of planting 5 million trees launched by the province has been implemented and achieved the assigned plan. To date, the forest coverage rate has reached 84%.

Attracting investment, developing industry, small-scale industry and services, and collective economy are focused. Currently, the commune has 28 enterprises and 339 individual business households, contributing to the economic restructuring of the commune. Specifically, the economic structure has shifted towards industry - construction, accounting for 53%. Traffic infrastructure, lighting, trees, sidewalks, power grids, clean water, etc. have been invested in, newly built, renovated, and repaired, contributing to changing the face of the locality. The National Target Program on new rural construction has been implemented synchronously with many solutions, supported by the people.

The material and spiritual life of the people is increasingly improved. Medical examination and treatment, national health programs are implemented with attention. The facilities of schools in the area continue to be invested in, built and upgraded. The team of teachers and managers meet the prescribed standards. The socialization of education has achieved many results. The quality and effectiveness of education at all levels are improved every year. Up to now, 6/6 schools have met national standards level 1.

Party building and rectification work has achieved many positive results; in the 2020-2025 term, the Commune Party Committee admitted 85 new party members. National defense and security have been maintained.
