Con Cuong Commune arranges 7 evacuation sites for people to move to safe flood areas.

There are currently more than 1,000 people taking shelter from the flood at the headquarters of Pu Mat National Park.

The sudden flood on the night of July 22 and early morning of July 23 caused 19/36 villages of Con Cuong commune to be submerged in water, from 1-3 meters deep. Along with that, 360 households were deeply submerged. These households were relocated and evacuated by the authorities to higher places to avoid the flood.

To help people have safe shelters, Con Cuong commune has arranged 7 evacuation sites, including: Pu Mat National Park Headquarters; Con Cuong Town Committee Headquarters (old); District People's Procuracy Headquarters (old); Con Cuong District Military Command Headquarters (old); Con Cuong Commune Hall 2; Con Cuong Medical Center; Con Cuong District Union - People's Committee Headquarters (old).

According to Mr. Le Anh Tuan - Director of Pu Mat National Park: "At this time, there are more than 1,000 people being evacuated here. The park has arranged safe accommodation for the people"... At Con Cuong Medical Center, there are also more than 20 people avoiding the flood.
