The forces inspected and reviewed all areas at risk of landslides and flash floods in the area, and at the same time, propagated and warned people to always be on guard against unusual developments when storms occur.

In some households with unsafe houses, the border guards coordinated with the militia to support the reinforcement of houses and proposed evacuation plans when the weather turned bad.

According to statistics, the entire La Ee commune has 15 potential landslide or flash flood risk points, mainly in Con Zot, B Lang, and Pa Lan villages.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Chuong, Secretary of the La Ee Commune Party Committee, said that up to now, 6/6 villages of the commune have established a Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue Team (each team has 20-25 people/village). This is a shock force to help people in any emergency situation.

“La Êê is a remote border commune with a large area and difficult roads, so compliance with the "4 on-site" plan is always our top priority. In particular, inspection and preparation work is considered very important to minimize damage caused by storms and floods,” said Mr. Nguyen Dang Chuong.
