On behalf of the Politburo and the Secretariat, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu stated that throughout the revolutionary process, our Party has attached special importance to cadre work, considering it the key to Party building work, deciding the success/failure of the revolution; in which, training and fostering is a very important content and stage, one of the core tasks of cadre work; it is a key solution to build a contingent of cadres with sufficient qualities, capacity, qualifications and prestige to meet the requirements of assigned tasks.
Quoting President Ho Chi Minh, cadres and cadre work are “very important” issues, “deciding everything”, “the root of everything” and “cadre training is the fundamental work of the Party”, the Standing Committee of the Secretariat said that since the 11th Congress, the opening of training courses to update knowledge for cadres planning to become members of the Party Central Committee has been truly innovated and increasingly put into practice. Following the successes of the training courses to update knowledge for cadres planning to become members of the Party Central Committee for the 12th and 13th terms and to prepare for personnel work for the upcoming 14th Congress, the Politburo and the Secretariat have decided to open 4 training courses to update knowledge and skills for cadres planning to become members of the 14th Party Central Committee, and 3 courses have been successfully organized.
On behalf of the Politburo and the Secretariat, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu acknowledged and highly appreciated the Central Organizing Committee and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics for coordinating to organize 3 training courses in 2024 and for carefully preparing and updating new issues and content for this training course program.

The Standing Secretariat emphasized that the training course took place in the context that the whole country was implementing many important and urgent tasks; the trainees were having to carry out tasks in their localities and work units, so the duration of the fourth training course was shorter than the other courses (about 10 days shorter). In order to successfully complete the proposed program contents, the Standing Secretariat requested the Organizing Committee of the training course to arrange and plan the study and research plan very scientifically, with appropriate time for exchange and discussion so that the trainees have the opportunity and conditions to share their views and thoughts. Thereby, they will have a deeper understanding of the important theoretical and practical issues of the country, contributing to the excellent completion of assigned tasks.
The Standing Member of the Secretariat requested that the trainees uphold their sense of responsibility, strive to study and research, and successfully complete the course content. “I hope that the class will truly be a forum for comrades to exchange and discuss in order to gain a clearer and deeper understanding of theoretical and practical issues, and at the same time share experiences in leadership, management, and operation so that we can have more thinking, skills, and experience in performing our tasks,” the Standing Member of the Secretariat, Tran Cam Tu, suggested.
The Standing Secretariat also noted that the Steering Committee, the Organizing Committee of the class, and the reporters involved in conveying the content must be truly effective, transforming knowledge into awareness, into action, into methods and scientific thinking, bringing strategic vision to the students. It is necessary to pay special attention to promoting the initiative and creativity of the students, focusing on interacting with the communicator and the researcher; implementing well the motto "learning goes hand in hand with practice", "theory is linked to practice" and regularly checking and supervising the learning and training process, while creating all favorable conditions for the students to complete their learning tasks well.
