On the morning of August 30, the solemn session of the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Hai Duong province, term 2024 - 2029, took place at the Eastern Cultural Center (Hai Duong city) with the participation of 177 official delegates, representing 379,600 young people in the province.

Attending the Congress were comrades: Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee: Luu Van Ban, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; a number of comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee; leaders of a number of departments, branches, sectors and mass organizations of the province.

On the side of the Central Youth Union, there were comrades: Nguyen Tuong Lam, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Permanent Deputy Head of the National Committee on Vietnamese Youth; Ho Hong Nguyen, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Central Youth Union's School Youth Committee, Vice President of the Central Vietnam Student Association, 11th term. Also attending the congress was Miss Tourism Vietnam 2024 Pham Thi Ngoc Quynh - a native of Hai Duong.

With the slogan of action "Hai Duong Youth love the country - unite - volunteer - create - develop", The congress affirmed the determination of Hai Duong youth to build a strong association. Strengthen solidarity and widely gather youth from all walks of life, foster revolutionary ideals, care for and encourage youth to compete in studying, working creatively, establishing themselves, starting a business, being proactive and volunteering to contribute to the successful implementation of the province's socio -economic development goals and the tasks of the association and youth movements in the new term.

Speaking at the Congress, Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang and Central Youth Union Secretary Nguyen Tuong Lam praised the positive results of Hai Duong youth in contributing to the cause of building their homeland as well as the work of the Association and the youth movement nationwide in the past term.

The Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee requested the Provincial Youth Union to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, promote "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" associated with building a model of Hai Duong youth in the new period.

The Association needs to do a good job of education and orientation, contributing to building a generation of young people with heart, vision, intelligence, talent, self-respect and self-control. Timely grasp, forecast and orient the thoughts of young people. Step up propaganda so that young people understand and actively fight against social evils, raise awareness of law compliance. Resolutely fight against the plots and tricks of hostile forces; help young people nurture big dreams and ambitions and orient each young person to continue to be self-aware, make efforts to study, cultivate, train, strive to improve themselves, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, love their homeland and country; have enough qualifications and capacity to undertake important jobs and responsibilities in the new period.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang requested the Youth Union at all levels to effectively implement the movement "I love my Fatherland" and the program "Accompanying young people to establish their careers and careers" through specific and practical activities in the new period. Focus on building and consolidating the Union at all levels to be comprehensively strong, truly a broad social organization, with the power to attract young people from all walks of life to participate with the motto "Where there are young people, there is the Union".

Secretary of the Central Youth Union Nguyen Tuong Lam acknowledged the achievements of Hai Duong youth in contributing to the work of the Union and the youth movement nationwide during the past term.

Secretary of the Central Youth Union Nguyen Tuong Lam suggested that the Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union should persistently innovate the content and methods of implementing the movement "I love my Fatherland" towards building a new generation of Hai Duong youth with comprehensive development. Focus on and be determined to increase the application of technology, digital transformation in the activities of the Union and improve digital capacity for young people. Research effective solutions to promote the mindset and skills of entrepreneurship among young people.

On this occasion, 5 collectives and 10 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union for their outstanding achievements in the work of the Union and youth movements for the 2019-2024 term. The Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 3 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of the Union, contributing to the development of the local economy.

Within the framework of the Congress, there was a photo exhibition on the history and tradition of the Vietnam Youth Union in different periods; virtual reality experience of Con Son relic site; launching of E-office document management software of the Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union; launching of Hai Duong Provincial Youth Creative Space; exhibition introducing OCOP products and startups of Hai Duong youth.

Previously, at the first working session on the afternoon of August 29, delegates unanimously elected the Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union Committee, term VI, consisting of 33 members; the Association's Inspection Committee, consisting of 5 members; and sent a delegation to attend the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union. Mr. Bui Hai Bang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union, term V, was re-elected as Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union, term VI.

The Congress unanimously approved the Draft Resolution of the Congress with 12 key targets for the 2024-2029 term.

That is: Every year, the Provincial and District Youth Union strives to have at least 2 activities to participate in preserving and promoting national cultural identity; organize and mobilize young people to voluntarily donate 30,000 units of blood; support 100 start-up, career and innovation projects for young people; strive for 50,000 young people to participate in activities to support digital capacity improvement, use online public services, use electronic payment accounts; 30,000 young people to participate in activities to support foreign language capacity improvement and international integration...
