The Mobile Library Car model was received by the Provincial Library in October 2019 by the Department of Libraries, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, with sponsorship from Vingroup Corporation. As the name suggests, the car is equipped as a miniature library with many functions. According to the design, the car has more than 4,500 books, 6 computers, 1 TV, 1 projector, library management software, and documentary films. In addition, the car is designed with the ability to open the trunk in 3 dimensions, creating an airy space for readers to comfortably read and study.
In February, the Provincial Library organized nearly 20 mobile trips to serve schools in the province. At Thanh Son Primary School (Phan Rang - Thap Cham City), from early morning, the school's students were excitedly waiting for the library bus to arrive to visit and experience. Here, the Provincial Library staff carried out many activities such as: Serving books and documents; guiding students to access and use the internet; showing scientific documentaries, and organizing quizzes related to books. Although the school already had a library, the way the program was organized, attracting many students to participate, along with the bus being equipped with a variety of useful books, created a new, interesting, and enthusiastic atmosphere in reading for the students, contributing to inspiring and teaching the passion for reading for the students here. Nguyen Chi Bao, class 5H, said: My friends and I got to read many good books prepared by the library staff in advance. Through experience, I really like the content of space science books. From today, I will often go to the library and bookstore to read this content. I really hope that the library bus will come to school many times so that we can read books and relax after school hours. In the afternoon of the same day, the Provincial Library staff continued to serve the mobile library bus to students at Thuan Bac Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, thereby showing the flexibility and convenience of the library bus that has penetrated to each locality to reach a large number of readers in the province.

In addition to serving student readers, the Provincial Library has also organized many trips to serve many groups of people in the province, especially in remote areas where there is little access to books, newspapers and information on the internet. In 2022 alone, despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Provincial Library organized 47 mobile service sessions, with 377,373 readers and 1.7 million documents. Mr. Dinh Xuan Huong, Director of the Provincial Library, said: Since the model was established, the library has had more ways to serve readers; circulating and updating new documents to readers, especially in remote areas, has also become easier. In order to promote and serve the needs of readers, the Provincial Library constantly changes the books and newspapers on the vehicle to suit each location and target audience, so that each mobile vehicle trip anywhere receives the response and support of the people. In the coming time, the Provincial Library will continue to deploy mobile library vehicles to localities and schools, in order to improve the level of cultural enjoyment of the people, creating conditions for people to access many good books.
In practice, the mobile library vehicle has helped the library sector to erase geographical distances to continue the journey of knowledge to all classes of people, while contributing to the effective implementation of the Provincial People's Committee's Project on developing reading culture in the community for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030 in the province.
