Yen Son continues to promote the development of agricultural commodity production.

Chairman of Yen Son District People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to collectives with outstanding achievements in agricultural, forestry production and grapefruit export in 2024.

In 2024, Yen Son district has gradually overcome difficulties to complete and exceed the criteria in the fields of agriculture and rural development. The value of agricultural, forestry and fishery production is estimated at 2,219.3 billion VND, reaching 101.8% of the plan. Total food output is estimated at over 66.6 thousand tons, food security is ensured; the value of key crop and livestock production continues to be improved, the forest coverage rate reaches over 60%. The whole district has 17/27 communes meeting new rural standards, 6 communes meeting advanced new rural standards and 2 communes meeting model new rural standards.

The district leads the province with 61 OCOP products, of which 4 products are exported to the UK market. During the year, the district successfully built the wooden furniture products of Woodsland Tuyen Quang Joint Stock Company to participate in the selection to achieve the Vietnam National Brand; managed and exploited, effectively used geographical indications for Soi Ha grapefruit products.

In 2025, Yen Son district will continue to promote the development of agricultural commodity production, focusing on key products; perfecting standards to continue exporting agricultural products. The district will focus on restructuring sectors associated with the development of commodity production; implementing policies to support production.

At the same time, focus on applying science and technology, improving the efficiency of production organization forms, promoting trade, and improving product competitiveness. The district strives to have 2 more communes completing the new rural standards; 1 commune completing the new rural model. From there, strive to complete the goals of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, the 23rd District Party Congress, contributing to completing the goals of the 13th National Congress of the Party.

On this occasion, the Chairman of Yen Son District People's Committee commended 14 collectives and 67 individuals with outstanding achievements in storm and flood prevention and control in 2024; commended 11 collectives and 25 individuals with outstanding achievements in agricultural and forestry production and grapefruit export in 2024.
