
On the afternoon of October 28, 2025, representatives of the People's Committee of Tu Ky commune (Hai Phong city) visited and encouraged the family of Ms. Vu Thi Dau, residing in An Nhan Dong village, who is temporarily taking care of an abandoned newborn baby in the area in front of Tu Ky Medical Station No. 1 on the evening of October 27, 2025.
The commune leaders visited the child and acknowledged the kindness of Ms. Dau's family for promptly taking care of the child while waiting for the authorities to verify, clarify, and handle the matter according to regulations. At the same time, Tu Ky Commune People's Committee directed relevant departments to closely monitor the situation, ensure the rights and best care for the child.
Previously, at about 6:30 p.m. on October 27, 2025, Ms. Vu Thi Dau, born in 1982, residing in An Nhan Dong village, Tu Ky commune, while exercising, was asked by a woman to hold her child, then the woman left.

The abandoned baby was a 5-day-old girl, weighing 3.5 kg, wrapped in a light red blanket, along with 5 sets of newborn clothes, 2 milk bottles, a black cloth bag and a handwritten note that read: “My child was born on the 1st of the 9th lunar month (October 22nd solar calendar). Due to financial difficulties, I cannot raise my child. I hope that the uncles, aunts, and sisters who picked her up can help raise her. Thank you. I apologize a thousand times to my dear child.”
The incident was reported to the People's Committee of Tu Ky commune and Ms. Dau took temporary care of the baby.
Tu Ky Commune People's Committee announces: Whoever is the biological father or mother of the child is requested to come to the Commune People's Committee headquarters to complete the procedures to receive the child, the deadline is November 5, 2025. After the above deadline, if no one comes to receive the child, Tu Ky Commune People's Committee will carry out the birth registration procedures and related steps according to the law, ensuring the legal rights of the child.
