Schools urged to immediately stop proposing three uniform colors per week

(Dan Tri) - In response to a primary school in Dak Lak proposing that students change their uniforms three times a week, the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province inspected and requested to stop making the wrong uniforms.

On the afternoon of September 17, at a regular press conference organized by the People's Committee of Dak Lak province, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Da, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province, responded to Dan Tri newspaper about the article "School proposes to wear 3 uniform colors every week, parents react".

According to Mr. Da, after receiving information from the press about Ly Tu Trong Primary School, Ea Drang commune, proposing that students wear 3 uniform colors each week, the Department established a working group to verify the incident.

"Thereby, the Department determined that the press reflected the truth and requested the school to immediately stop letting students wear so many types of uniforms," ​​Mr. Da informed.

At the press conference, Mr. Truong Cong Thai, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, requested the Department of Education and Training to report clearly in writing to handle the right person, the right job to advise and remind other schools in the province.

Mr. Thai said that since the beginning of the school year, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee has issued a document requesting agencies and school units to collect and spend in accordance with regulations. Those who do not comply must be held responsible before the Provincial People's Committee and the law. In particular, schools must not allow overcharging to occur.

"If schools are found to have violations in revenue and expenditure at the beginning of the school year, the press should step in to report them, and the departments, branches, and localities will take strict action," Mr. Thai emphasized.

As Dan Tri reported, parents whose children study at Ly Tu Trong Primary School posted on social media their outrage at the fact that the school forces students to wear three different uniforms of different colors to school each week.

In 2023-2024, Ly Tu Trong Primary School will have yellow uniforms (no logo) for students.

By the 2024-2025 school year, the school has agreed to purchase additional orange uniforms with logos for students.

At the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, Ly Tu Trong Primary School will change its uniform to light brown pants or skirts and green shirts.

Thus, in addition to blue pants, white shirt, and gym clothes, the school also has 3 more uniforms: yellow, orange, and blue.

On the Zalo group, the school teacher announced: "Wear blue shirts on Monday and Wednesday; orange shirts on Tuesday and Thursday; and white, blue, or orange shirts on Friday. On days when there is physical education, wear gym clothes."

With this announcement, some parents admitted to being confused and dazzled by the school's strange uniform style and some strongly opposed it.
