YouTuber 'Toan Tay' fined 5 million VND for editing videos to attract views

On the evening of June 23, Meo Vac District Police ( Ha Giang Province ) announced that the agency had just issued a decision to administratively fine LMT 5 million VND for posting false information on the internet.

According to Meo Vac District Police, LMT is a YouTuber, owns the YouTube channel "Toan Tay TV" with more than 36,000 subscribers. The videos posted by this channel attract quite a lot of followers, some videos have up to hundreds of thousands of views.

Recently, through monitoring the situation on cyberspace, Meo Vac District Police discovered that "Toan Tay" posted a video with the title: "Hot: Close-up of arresting wife at Khau Vai love market, Meo Vac, Ha Giang 2023".

Meo Vac District Police determined that the content of the above video was directly cut and edited by "Toan Tay" from the scene of wife kidnapping in Pa Vi Commune (Meo Vac District) to post for the purpose of attracting views and likes. This video has caused public confusion because Ha Giang has long since stopped the practice of wife kidnapping.

Summoning "Toan Tay" to work, this YouTuber admitted his actions and removed the video with false content, and pledged not to repeat the offense.
