According to the monitoring results of the Provincial People's Council, over the past 2 years, on average, each year, the whole province has more than 800 hectares of cultivated land converted from low-yield rice cultivation to perennial crops, commercial crops or combined with livestock and aquaculture, bringing high economic value. The average income per hectare of cultivated land increased from 210 million VND (in 2020) to about 250 million VND in 2025.
Many agricultural production models applying scientific and technical advances and high technology have been formed. Infrastructure serving agricultural production has been invested in more synchronously; the rate of mechanization has increased; a number of large enterprises have invested in the field of agricultural processing. The application of technical advances, the formation of specialized areas for fruit trees, perennial trees combined with aquaculture, etc. have contributed to creating breakthroughs in sustainable agricultural development.
The conversion of crop structure has promoted a change in thinking from traditional production to commodity production, linking along the value chain, improving the lives and incomes of farmers.
