35 thousand Ha Tinh residents will receive free medical examination and medicine

Saigon - Ha Tinh General Hospital will coordinate to organize the program "Health care for the elderly and children" in Ha Tinh province starting from June 2023 - December 2024 with about 35 thousand people.

The Ha Tinh Red Cross Society and Saigon - Ha Tinh General Hospital have just signed a cooperation agreement to organize the program "Health care for the elderly and children" in the province.

Accordingly, the program will be implemented from June 2023 to December 2024. Each month, 1-2 medical examinations, health consultations, free medicine distribution and free eye surgery will be organized at Saigon - Ha Tinh General Hospital. Each quarter, at least 1 medical examination, health consultation and free medicine distribution will be organized in districts, towns and cities.

The program provides medical examinations, health consultations on eye and musculoskeletal diseases and free medicine for at least 300 elderly people in 1 month; organizes examinations and supports the treatment of refractive eye problems for children under 14 years old at schools; and free cataract surgery for the elderly at Sai Gon - Ha Tinh General Hospital. It is expected that about 35,000 people in the whole province will benefit from the program.

Program participants are picked up and dropped off by free buses. Saigon - Ha Tinh General Hospital supports medicines and conditions for doctors and nurses participating in the medical examination. Funding for the organization comes from local budgets and socialized sources.

This is a meaningful activity to effectively protect and care for people's health, especially the elderly and children under 14 years old in Ha Tinh province. Thereby, contributing to the good implementation of the province's social security policy.
